Describe your creative process.
Following a meeting with the potential client, if I am designing a logo I check-out other logos in that profession, good and bad, from the client I would have gathered what he, she or they are looking for, but also think about other answers because sometimes it takes a view from the outside to come up with the best answer. I normally present some ideas from which a final logo is developed.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Wherever possible I prefer to arrange a meeting with the potential client, this way I find that I am in a stronger position to design something that the client needs.
What do you love most about your job?
From the start whatever is being designed did not exist before I started working on it, be it a logo, a brochure, corporate branding or an event, and bringing it through to fruition in conjunction with other people is pretty good.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had spent several years working with an event company designing conference sets, associated logos, opening sequences and calling shows, but we came to the end of the road, so as an independent designer I took an office in Marlow and got on the phone.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a network of support companies, such as printers, writers, photographers, web developers plus an event company, means that with in the middle, I am able to offer a complete design service.
