We love the images from our wedding, and would heartily recommend Xpect Photography for their excellent photography skills and professional & friendly approach to wedding photography. Our wedding was a challenging combination of a large number of guests (160+), a not very photogenic venue (SWALEC Cricket Stadium) and a lack of daylight (afternoon wedding in January). Mark was extremely reassuring during the planning stages, helping us to work through a plan of action which ensured the day went off without a hitch. On the day, Mark and Sandra were so helpful and friendly to us and our guests, helping to organise our large families & making sure we got all the shots we wanted. We are delighted with the selection of fabulous photographs we have to remember the day!We did a LOT of research and met with many photographers in the south Wales area, and these guys were easily the best. The second we met Mark he stood out to us straight away. Apart from an impressive portfolio, as a character he was very passionate about his work and had a subtle confidence that reassured us he was all about a quality final product. Our instincts proved right and our photos were stunning! He captured evey moment of our day, some of which we would never have seen without him, in beautiful clarity. We were lucky enough to have photography in church and Mark took full advantage for us, producing some amazing shots, and we didn't even notice he was there.Finally after the day was over, we had some lovley feedback from our guests on the usual things. Mark and Sandra provided an excellent service as our wedding photographers. Mark was great at taking on board our suggestions as well as offering advice for the day. We wanted lots of spontaneous photos and Mark really met this brief. The quality of the photos were excellent and the album and slide show brought tears to my eyes as it truly did capture the day and the amazing time we had. I couldn't have asked for a better service.Unlike some photographers that I have experienced from attending weddings, it was very organised and professional and did not take any more time than was necessary. This was great as it ensured that our guests didn't get bored or too hungry whilst waiting for photos to be taken. Mark and Sandra were also very good at making us and our guests feel relaxed whilst the photos were being taken and think this added to the quality of the images as there were so many photos of people smiling and laughing and looking very natural. Many of my friends and family have used the photos that were taken of them on our wedding day as profile pictures and to frame in their homes as the images captured are so lovely.I really couldn't have asked for a better service and I am so glad I picked Xpect photography for my big day. Come across a lovely little offer from Xpect Photography, and thought that this would provide a cracking present for a birthday. So wanted to put this review together, in case you were wondering whether or not to indulge yourself with the out and out professionals that are Xpect Photography…Opted for the £99 portrait offer, which seemed quite exciting and yet somewhat daunting thought of having a personal portrait session. But have to say Mark at Xpect Photography is the essence of the true professional photographer. His enthusiasm put us at ease throughout the process and he reassured us that the “other half” would love the experience none the less. And yes this is truly an experience from start to finish. After chatting to Mark over the phone about what i wanted and finalising my payment, a few days later there was a hand delivered letter posted through the door. This contained a hand crafted “personal” invite to my wife for the portrait session, which i have to say, she was absolutely thrilled with. Looking bewildered when she opened the envelope to be met with a lovely hand crafted invite, inside an ivory envelope with ribbon sealing, which i have to have to say for a birthday present was a very nice touch. Anyway, coming to the day, or should i say lead up to the day. Mark invited me and my wife to his home where we sat and chatted about the photo session, as we did not know what to expect nor had we experienced anything like it in the past. Marks sheer enthusiasm and professionalism shines through and his love of photography is evident in everything he does. After setting the scene of what to expect, we decided on a beach theme that just had to include the dog…So photo day arrives, Mark met us on location on what must have been one of the best days in Feb we have seen for years. Again Mark had been there for over an hour and a half beforehand conducting a reccy of the area to ensure that he provided us with the maximum experience and the best shots possible for our session. In all honesty this was really not expected, but as mentioned above, this goes to show the lengths Mark and Xpect go to, to ensure that customer satisfaction is paramount to the client and throughout the day.Anyway, having gone through the photo session, which was really enjoyable and actually quite exciting, Mark mentioned that he would be in touch for us to view the images.Again Mark did not disappoint, he contacted us to invite us across t his studio for a viewing, which is really not expected. On arrival, the set up is very professional, with a large TV screen to view every shot Mark has taken over the photo session within a very relaxed and funky studio. For the amount of money you have paid for the session and the end to end experience, you would honestly think you have paid hundreds if not thousands for the experience….The professionalism and total enthusiasm is what makes Xpect stand out from every other photographer we have come across.My only regret is that we did not know Mark and Xpect Photography when we got married, as we would have loved to have had Mark shoot our wedding day. If this portrait session was anything to go by then we would have loved to have experienced a full wedding shoot…..Thanks Mark and Xpect Photography, one awesome birthday present !!! More...

Choosing a wedding photographer is probably hard for most couples, but for my husband and I it was simple. We chose Mark and Sandra at Xpect Photography after they took family portraits of our little boy. The slideshow of images with backing music moved us to tears; hence on seeing these during a viewing and the effort they’d gone to we booked there and then without a second thought. The level of service we received from start to finish was in our opinion over and above our expectations, we had our pre wedding shots in an outdoor area which was a convenient time for us and Mark included our little boy knowing how important it was to us. Prior to the wedding, Mark took the time to sit down with us and find out our expectations for the wedding, who was important to us, who we’d like images of if possible and I honestly can’t believe the images he and Sandra managed to take. Having two photographers meant we had a bigger variety of images from our wedding day sometimes of the same shot but different angles catching some really special moments, we’ve actually found it so hard to choose our final images as there were so many we could have chosen. They captured some images I’ll treasure so much, especially the moment my father saw me in my wedding dress for the first time. Such a special moment caught on camera for me to keep forever. Not only did we find it easy working with Mark and Sandra, our family and friends also felt at ease throughout the day. Mark and Sandra kept us informed after our wedding at every stage, they contacted us for our viewing and again moved us to tears watching the slideshow of our special day and memories we would have missed had they both not been there. We were treated so well from start to finish and our beautiful wedding album and slideshow are filled with memories of our special day that we will treasure forever. my partner and I looked for a great photographer at all the wedding fairs and found a few we liked but they where all the same, until we bumped in to Mark and Sandra, there photo albums were so much more our style and the photos were clear and lade out in the albums in such a way they looked fantastic. So we had a quote and !!! wow !!! we could not believe that we had everything we wanted at the<span id="moreReview409402" class="hide"> right price. Mark and Sandra invited us to there studio for a family photo shoot before the wedding and it was great and we had a great laugh. It was fantastic that we got to know and become friends with Mark and Sandra before the wedding, that other photographers or companies do not do. We had the pleasure of working with Mark for our engagement session last year. Not only did he manage to make us feel completely at ease & keep us laughing throughout the shoot, he produced some beautiful relaxed & fun images for us to keep. We were lucky enough that he agreed also to shoot some pictures of our two puppies, no easy task, but the results were outstanding. Mark was a fantastic photographer at our wedding in May 09. He put us and our guests at ease and we really enjoyed his presence. The photos are amazing and we are so pleased with them. In reference to my portfolio photoshoot with Xpect Photography: prior to the shoot, the photographer carefully considered my look from a previous shoot and based various ideas upon that, all of which I found very helpful in determining a look and performance for the shoot we did together. He provided transport to the location at a time that suited me, booked a location that was eminently suited<span id="moreReview24367" class="hide"> to my look, and acted in a considerate and professional manner throughout. He was courteous, well-prepared, and always attentive to my needs and general well-being. Following the shoot, he provided the photos in very quick time, and edited copies of my favourite shots just as promptly. Xpect photography carried out a photo session of myself and my children, the reason that I booked the session was due to my husband leaving the country for work purposes and I wanted a DVD of photos made as a gift. I gave Xpect photography very short notice, yet they still went out of their way to fit me in. The photographer sat and interviewed me to find out what I was looking for and then<span id="moreReview19937" class="hide"> arranged the sitting. I have four children so I thought it would be a real chore. I was wrong! Mark Martin was great! he made all my children and myself feel at ease which showed in the photo's. He is a real talent. The photo's were extremely reasonable in price and delivery was very quick. I placed my order through the website which was very easy to use.
