Wyedean Damp & Mould Control

Feel like I have been mugged paid nine thousand pounds for some damp course treatment and to have two floors chemically damp proofed work carried out by two men over 11 days they worked about 5 hours a day taking a 10 - 15 min fag break every 40 to 50 mins Work could have been completed in one week by one man working an 8 hour day. I have invited 3 tilers to give a price to tile over the floors they supposedly levelled to be told by 2 they don't want the job the 3rd said it will take 10 bags of self levelling compound and 500 pounds to do and I also have to tile the 3rd room floor (which didn't need doing) as they made such a mess of the laminate. I have given them the opportunity to put right and was told they would be round that day but as I suspected no one came. But why would they it couldn't be done right in the first place. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY I employed them to treat damp on an internal wall in July 2017 through this site, I read the reviews the comments all very good checked the insurance yes great. Met with Paul who is charming he explained what needed to be done etc emailed the quote said if I took it up more or less straight away he could reduce the price, so I went ahead. Needless to say within 10 mins of being at my property his men hit the main water pipe coming into my house, was unable to turn off water main at stop cock outside and caused at least 25k worth of damage to my house. Paul assured me his insurers would be ok and if i went to my insurers they could then in turn claim from his great no problem, i thought, only it turned out his insurance cancelled the policy as the works he was carrying out he wasn't insured for. I have just finished fighting with my insurance company over repairs, costs etc and am £500.00 out of pocket due to excess being paid, lost time due to sourcing repairs / replacements as the whole of my downstairs was ruined, a huge claim on my claims history and also still have the original damp issues please do not touch his company solicitor has written to him time and time again he has ignored all letters solicitor has also advised that he has no assets to reclaim any of the costs incurred.PLEASE READ ALL COMMENTS ON YELL FOR THIS COMPANY ALSO CALLED SOUTHWEST DAMP BUSTERS PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU WISH TO SEE ANY DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THIS CONMAN More...

I hired Paul and Wyedean Damp & Mould Control to complete some damp treatment on my house following a nightmare job from another builder. Paul was swift in all communication with me. He always turned up when he said he would, the work was completed to a high standard and was true to the quote he gave me.
Paul kept me informed about the process and updated of work and what needed to happen next.

Following the work I received some exorbitant quotes from other decorators to complete the property but Paul went out of his way to help me achieve a good finish on the property, carrying out the work himself at a very reasonable rate. He also gave me some excellent advice on other aspects of the property, specifically the roof so I had guidance to follow when seeking a roofer.

Just want to say that Wyedean Damp and Mould Control have done a fantastic job of removing/replacing rain damaged rendering and plaster. The work was organised brilliantly & taking the ghastly wet weather into account, speedily. Paul Taylor & his workers were very friendly and helpful & left the house looking fabulous.
