'Woohoo! The resume that Ryan at Write in Color put together for me was so strong I heard back from every company that I applied to. I heard back from so many companies within a short amount of time I stopped worrying about whether or not I'd receive a response to my application - it became a question of how many companies I wanted to juggle interviews with at the same time. At one point, feeling so confident I'd hear back from anybody I sent the resume to, I actually stopped sending it out just to maintain availability in my schedule for all the companies I was interviewing with. Also, every recruiter and team I interviewed with seemed very impressed with me to begin with. I don't believe I have ever given five stars on Yelp.  Whatever the case, I also rarely write reviews. I was compelled to in the case of Write In Color.  I interviewed a dozen or so resume writers and only WIC took any time to get to know me, beyond the cookie cutter information. I just did my resume with Ryan from Write In Color and I couldn't be happier! They helped me remember various accomplishments throughout my various roles I would have otherwise completely forgotten to include. They asked a lot of questions which made it easier to know what to share and Ryan took thorough notes. His turn around was very fast and let me do as many as edits as I needed. I've been out of the work force for a very long time and Alexis, through a very collaborative process, crafted a resume for me that highlighted my strengths, some of which I hadn't even considered. They charge $400.00 and that includes a long phone call and then a few weeks of edits where you go back and forth making adjustments if you wish. I reached out to Melody after having little luck getting interviews.  I was hesitant on spending money on resume/cover letter writing services. ..but decided to give it a try since I wasn't getting anywhere with what I had.I decided to ask Melody to just help me write my cover letter. I'm not a great writer so I need a lot of help with in that area.  To do this, she first took a look at my resume to see what she will be working with.  She mentioned to me that my resume needed a bit of work before she can get started.  So, she offered me some great tips and left it up to me to make the changes.  Once I completed that I sent it back to her and she gave me a thumbs up!  She then wrote a GREAT general cover letter leaving areas that I can tailor to the job I'm applying for (which is exactly what I needed).I applied to a job with my improved resume and new cover letter.  This was the first job I applied to with my new resume and cover letter.  A week later, I got a call asking me to come in for an interview! I've been extremely satisfied with the new cover letter and resume WIC has provided me! You'd think as a marketing writer and digital strategist I wouldn't have a hard time creating my personal "brand" or sales piece, but I've had the hardest time! After some career setbacks these last 12 months, I really needed help in creating a bomb resume that truly highlighted my accomplishments and strengths in a cohesive way. Melody, Ida, and Emily did not disappoint. They provided me with several different, custom-designed templates to choose from, and also spoke with me on the phone for over an hour--literally dissecting every job or internship I've ever had to get a better understanding of what I'd contributed. I really appreciated the thorough, hands-on process of this and their knowledge of the advertising industry.The best part of it all was the turnaround time. I'd looked around at several services that charged the same rates, but wanted to make me wait nearly 2 months to even have my first phone meeting. I needed something relatively swift, and I only had to wait 2 weeks in all from the moment I paid. I don't know if this will last as they grow, but I certainly was grateful for that.The cover letter, my biggest challenge personally, also turned out great. I needed a template that I could work off of and tailor to each job I apply to, without having to write 200 words from scratch. I now have a succinct, sort of "guide" (that relates well to resume) that I can work off of and that can keep me in focus when writing the CL.Last point I'd like to make, is that other services might be good, but they don't have the aesthetic down. If you're working in marketing/advertising/creative/entertainment WIC is a great choice because they know you're looking for something beyond the Times New Roman, drab 2001-style resume that everybody sees everyday. "Write in Color" is a perfect name for this enterprise; Every word Melody touches turns to gold! She is a genius! I engaged Melody to redo my resume.  I was asked to provide an updated resume to HR for a very prestigious company within a matter of hours. I am no formatting dummy, but I knew I could not produce the quality I wanted to present on my own. By some miracle, all the information I provided to Melody was presented on one page in a perfectly readable sized font despite giving her 3 paragraphs of information to be added to an existing 1-page resume (How did she do it !)  Not only was Melody finished with plenty of time to spare, the resume was attractive and grammatically flawless, as promised. I am currently double majoring at USC in Business Administration and Cinema-Television, with a Thematic Option Honors, Cum Laude University GPA and Magna Cum Laude Cinema-Television GPA.
