Lynne designed an amazing website for me, she exceeded my expectations. Was easy to work with and understood want I wanted, without me actually being sure of what I wanted!

Word-shed Q&A

Word-shed Q&A

What makes a great website?

A website should be viewable on all screens, so that means phones and tablets. A website must also reach out and speak to customers in their own language. Make a connection with your target audience and make it easy for them to buy from you. Your website needs to be found on Google so search engine optimisation should be built in as standard. The website must be easy for the client to update and take ownership off. All copyrights should be passed to the client. As that is what you are paying for.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

Who is your ideal customer and what do you want your website to say to them? What makes you unique and stand out from your competitors and how can we get this across to your customers.

What do you love most about your job?

Building website and making people smile. It sounds corny, I know. But when you get a website right for a customer it is incredibly rewarding. A website is the online representation of a customers business, so they have to be happy with every aspect. I will make as many changes as necessary until the customer feels like they have found there home on the web.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I like the freedom I get from working on my own projects without targets and managers making me work in a way that does not fit with me. I will happily work 7 days a week as I am responsible for my own success. I love working with start-up companies. The big web design firm just wants the most profitable customers. I want to build relationships and watch businesses grow, this may not mean cherry-picking the most profitable jobs. But that fits me and how I want to work.

Why should our clients choose you?

I do not just build you a website. I am a one-stop internet knowledge bank. I want the businesses I work with to succeed and come back to me year after year. I am no fly by night company, with staff that change every time you ring up.
