Wonderland Weddings

Michael and his staff were AMAZING. My husband and I got married on an 85 foot fishing boat, with a huge bait tank - not your normal "fancy" wedding. Michael was so helpful from the beginning. When he went to see the boat, he was able to give advice on how to best orchestrate the ceremony, including the wedding party and guests. We hosted the reception in our backyard. It was quite crowded with over 100 guests in our L shaped yard with 7 fruit trees but Michael and his staff were so organized. My guests commented on how fun the staff was and they were so accommodating of my requests. The photos were done so quickly and I was very excited about how beautifully they came out. They had very creatively arranged items from the reception into BEAUTIFUL works of art. Even my caterer commented on how much they liked the photographer. I also had videography for our wedding on the boat. It came out so wonderful. I cry every time I watch the beautiful way they captured our wedding. We knew after the first phone call with Mike that we wanted him as our wedding photographer because he was so personable and understood how important it was that bride and groom feel comfortable. You really do spend your entire wedding day with the photographer so making a good personal connection is key. He met with us months before the wedding even though we did not use him for our engagement shoot, just to get to know us. In the weeks leading up to the wedding he helped us develop and refine a timeline that would best meet our needs. On the day of the wedding, Mike and his team were fun, relaxed, and helped us enjoy our first look and wedding party pictures. During the ceremony and reception they always seemed to capture the important moments without being intrusive. We had a teaser gallery of great photos within 24 hours and the full gallery within 2 months. We are so happy with how the photos turned out and would not hesitate to recommend Wonderland Weddings to any and all of our friends. Having never been married before, my wife and I shared many firsts on our long journey to the altar. Getting engaged, we thought, was the hardest part. Everything else, we were sure, would fall into place. Well, you can imagine our surprise when we discovered that no, getting engaged is the easiest part. The rest of the experience is no cakewalk (save for the part at the very end where you actually get to eat cake). God help the poor soul who ventures, unprepared, into the spiraling madness of online wedding planning. As both my wife and I are terrible at planning (having more or less procrastinated our way into courtship), we faced the numerous tasks of matrimony with a stomach-churning, hand-wringing, head-scratching dread. Like Conan strapped to a grinding millstone, we marched forward in an endless circle of forms to be signed and meetings to be had and soulless merchants grubbing for our meager dollars. This is a rather long-winded prologue to the casual decency that is Wonderland Weddings. Figuring out who was supposed to film what and photograph what and why and when and with whom was a nightmare for us, until we met for a friendly chat with Mike and he laid out, in the simplest, most comprehensible terms, what our wedding could look like through his lens. His prices were fantastic, his attitude was congenial, and from start to finish he was a consummate professional. Fortunately, Mike doesn't just talk a good game, he really delivers. The photographs that he and his assistant took, both the candid and arranged shots, are ones we will treasure for the rest of our lives. He was also insanely prompt, delivering a sample platter of fun photographs for our consumption within days of the ceremony - in preparation for the full course delivered some weeks later. He was friendly, he was funny, and he made the frenetic experience of planning a wedding that much easier to deal with. Five stars, two thumbs up, 11 out of 10, highly recommend, super classy.
