A great place to destress with multiple workout classes personal training staff and awesome equipment. And most of all the wonderful and friendly staff at Wilsons

4.5 stars, the only thing missing is a rig for doing pull-ups and stuff, and rowers. Love the onsite pilates studio! I drop in every holiday season and they’re always friendly, clean, have reasonably priced dropin rates, and *almost* everything you could need.

I thought I should update my old review...nothing much has changed except I have bumped the review to 5 stars.  The reason for the 5 star rating is, in my opinion, this location is simply the best equipped gym in town.  I know it is not the cheapest, but it is true that you get what you pay for. The pool is seldom used in the evenings and on weekends, which I love, because I use the pool a lot.Equipment is slowly replaced with newer equipment...continuously.  There are many "free" classes you can take by simply just by having a Wilson Gym membership (which, of course, is not free).  The ones that I have tried have good instructors well versed in whatever class you are taking. They don't have free pizza and cookies at the entrance.Of course there are crowded times...like for about 5 or 6 weeks after Christmas/New Years. Great atmosphere. There is lots of equipment and good classes! The locker room could use an upgrade. (wink wink)

It's cozy and has a more relaxed atmosphere than many larger gyms. Although smaller, they've made some excellent equipment choices, especially as applies to aerobic stuff. What they have covers the gamut of what you need to exercise the entire body - and there's enough of it that you generally don't have to wait for equipment. They're attentive to cleanliness and when a machine goes down they see to repairs in a timely manner; both attributes are very important to me. They also have group training classes, but I'm not sure of the types. Smoothie bar puts out a tasty product at a competitive price. More...

Probably the best gym in Columbia based on equipment, lap pool, staff, and the look and feel of the gym. Some unique offerings too like the kitchen on site.

Clean facilities, good variety of equipment, and pool access. However, wish they longer hours!

I love that the staff greet you and say goodbye when you leave! This is a no-frills gym, great for a quick workout during the day if you work downtown or nearby.

If I wrote this review when I was a new member three months ago, I would have given them a perfect 5. They’re still pretty good. But the quality has been declining, in my opinion. They do not respond to reports like dirty shower rooms as efficiently. More...

Smaller facility with a friendly vibe. Adds new equipment pretty constantly, and is seldom overcrowded.

The gym is great, clean, and has a lot of options, but one of my absolute favorite things about Wilson's Forum is Lisa Acton. I signed up the bar I manage for a corporate membership, which is complicated, the people I was trying to sign up were a little unreliable and there were so many moving pieces, and she did AMAZING. Always responded incredibly quickly, thought out and gave us the best options, worked with our schedules, and did the whole thing with a smile and the best attitude. Truly loves what she does. Honestly might not have been able to work out a group membership like this with another gym. More...

At Wilson's, I did the starter 10-session personal training with Hannah Chaney. She helped me build muscles, sculpt, and tone. Besides being very talented, she was easy to talk to, approachable, and friendly. More...

I travel quite a bit so I have been stopping at Wilsons for years and while there are a few good options in Columbia the variety this club offers especially in the fitness area is unbelievable and it's always well kept. I especially like it when a friendly staff member greats me and the place has always been very clean. I usually grab a snack there when leaving, good stuff. More...

Great gym! I have been going here for over a year and love it! The staff are friendly, the other gym goers and fun and helpful, there is plenty of room to exercise and minimal wait time, and the facility is gorgeous! It doesn't hurt that its in a cool basement too. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get in/stay in shape. More...

I signed up for a membership about 3-4 months ago. It's about $50 per month to join on the one year contract, and overall I think it's worth it. I shopped around and it's probably the best option in Columbia. The good: the facility is large and generally very clean. The cardio area gets busy but almost never has a wait and it has up-to-date equipment with TVs as well as a view of the outdoors. The weight room is huge, and has everything you'd ever need to get fit. The group studio room (lots of great classes, including Les Mills, available) is spacious with a large window and nice view of the trees nearby. There's a spinning room and racquetball court which I'll never use, but hey, it's nice to have the option! They also have an indoor pool, with a hot tub and co-ed steam room. There is a snack bar near the check-in desk that is overpriced, but convenient.  The bad: The steam room often runs too hot to be useable and sometimes smells bad. The women's locker room is ugly and outdated, and not a place where you'd want to get ready after a morning workout. You have to pay an extra $20+ per month to get the hot yoga/barre classes so I haven't tried those yet, but I might upgrade in the future - the hot yoga studio is separate from group class studio and looks nice. I joined the Wilson's Rangeline location about six months ago, and so far it is one of the best experiences I've had with a gym. The gym itself is spacious and has an updated feel. There are a variety of weight machines and different ways to work out. Most importantly, I have never waited for a cardio machine! This is huge in my book. There are usually a decent number of people in the free weights area, but not to the point of being overwhelming. Overall, the size of the gym and amount of equipment means you don't feel crowded or rushed when getting your workout on. Also, the hours are great: on weekdays the gym opens at 4am. There are a ton of classes that come free with your membership. Again, this is huge in my book. There are a few, like some yoga classes, that cost a bit more. The classes that are included range from cycling to bootcamp-style to pilates. There are multiple workout rooms, so the class schedule is pretty robust. I've tried a few and I have not been disappointed. As far as becoming a member, it was easy and fast to join and the membership desk is in a private office. Some gyms I've joined have you fill out paperwork and provide sensitive information right in the middle of the gym floor, so a private office was a nice change. My husband and I pay around $60 per month for two memberships, so this is not the cheapest option. For what you get with a membership - free classes, good hours, no waits - the cost is worth it in my opinion. More...

I came here out of town to launch the new Jamba Juice.  This was the closest hotel to the Broadway. The gym gets one star for the convenience of being near the hotel and, well everything else. The second star is for the cleanliness. I found all the machines and locker rooms to be spic and span.Third star comes from tremendous customer service.Fourth is for the overall experience.  A really great place to workout. They are missing one star because the weights only go up to 70, they could fit a couple more important machines like a hack squat, and third there RTD case could use some actual sports products.
