Shell is truly amazing!!! We feel so lucky that we were able to have her photograph our family. Shell is an incredible photographer, and she made the experience so easy and enjoyable from our first email communications all the way through editing and sending the final files. A week before our session, she spent over an hour on the phone with me talking through ideas, locations, and outfits, and she provided helpful suggestions for the day of the shoot. During our session, she was so sweet, easygoing and relaxed- even with one of my kiddos screaming for almost the entire time! We were blown away when we received the proofs. She managed to get TONS of amazing shots, even with my son's major meltdown. She captured our family beautifully, and she managed to create an incredible lush, Fall ambience even though it was 80 degrees that day. She was so wonderful about edit requests and responded quickly to any questions I had about the order. We feel so lucky to have these beautiful photos of our family. Thank you so much, Shell! When it comes to pictures and understanding your needs, I cant think of any other person other than Michelle. She is an extremely talented and wonderful person who puts you at ease right from the consult to the actual day of your shoot. She is so hands on with the kids that my nervousness was decreased many manifold. Be it taking candid shots or otherwise she understands your needs and delivers it. She gave me some amazing memories to last a lifetime.

A Review for Photography Mentoring ~

Shell Dransart was such a pleasure to learn from! She taught me so many useful skills, which will help me in my professional photography. Shell was very patient, hardworking, and kind towards me when I was learning from her. She is by far the best mentor I have ever had! I know I am leaving her mentoring program feeling way more confident in my photography skills than I did when I first started. Shell is an all around great photographer and teacher. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a photography mentor whether you are professional photographer or just for taking better photos for yourself.

Review for couple (and dog) shoot:

Shell is super down to earth and incredibly talented. She took the time to review my Pinterest board, asked for background on my husband and myself, and took to heart all the details we discussed in our pre-shoot consult. I wasn't sure of a good place so Shell went out herself and researched and found a great spot that was conducive to all the ideas we wanted to incorporate in our photos (flower field, skateboarding, beach). She brought ideas of her own to the photo shoot based on what she learned about us, as well as incorporating ideas we requested before hand. She even brought her own props for us to use!! It was easy to be relaxed and natural with her behind the camera, and she did an amazing job of keeping the shoot moving and changing things around as necessary. The result was just what were looking for! The photos don't look fake or forced at all, they represent who we are at this time in our life and they are incredibly beautiful! Thanks Shell!! More...

Y'all definitely need to invest and book Shell as your next photographer! I immediately fell in love with her Instagram account and booked her for our new family pics with our 6 month old twin boys and also booked her for their 1st birthday photo session this December. Shell exceeded my needs and expectations for and on the day of the photo shoot. Shell responds quickly. And she will schedule a time to chat and discuss your desires and needs for the day of. My boys were a lil fussy and tired during the photo session but Shell came prepared with her props and went through her list as we had previously discussed and continuously photographed several different backgrounds and guided us on what to do. That is what I absolutely love about Shell...not only is she a super down to earth and a beautiful soul but she has this amazingly talented eye to take the most perfect unexpected photo without you having to stand and pose and feel incredibly awkward about it. She will talk and guide you on what to do so you will end up with beautifully taken photos. We used a combo of her's and our props. I’m speechless! Today was such an amazing day and such a beautiful experience! I had no idea what a milk bath session was, but I highly recommend it to all the mommy’s our there that are expecting. It’s a very relaxing and such soothing time. Im absolutely in LOVE!! With the session� I had a great time! Can’t wait to be pregnant again and do it all over again!(ps. Awwwww Shell thank you so much for these amazing photos we are so excited to see the rest of them. We feel so blessed to have been able to work with you. I think the first time I contacted you about doing photos was about 3 1/2- 4 years ago. Due to my health and financial things we had to wait a little bit, but we were finally ready to schedule this year. It was 100% worth the wait.

You were so easy to work with and made us feel so at ease. We didn't have to worry about how to sit, pose, or any of that. It was so natural and so comfortable. We had such a nice time You made the location look even more beautiful than it is.... Us too

It was also a pleasure to work with and meet your son, Dylan. He is such a sweet young man and very good at helping you with everything. We appreciate him carrying our stuff too.

I have known Shell for the majority of my life, which seems funny to say, but we've known each other since 4th grade. She has always been one of the nicest people I have ever known and she has never lost that. Although she will tell you that this career in photography was accidental, she was definitely meant to be behind the camera making people like us this happy.

I met Shell at a networking event. I fell instantly in love with her work, and when I talked with her, I knew she was the perfect photographer to support my new business. I'm a professional pet sitter, so I wanted photos of me with animals, in addition to professional head shots.

I emailed Shell a few days after meeting her and she was very timely with her response. In addition to a photography session, Shell's fee includes a phone consultation about a week prior to the session to discuss what you want from your photo session. She asked me what I wanted potential clients to get out of seeing my photos. I told her that I wanted to portray professionalism and the fact that I love animals. She asked me to find photos online of poses that I absolutely loved, which I thought was an ingenious idea on her part - instead of me trying to describe my vision to her, I simply just had to show her.

The photo session was at my parents' house in Escondido. Shell was on-time and brought potential props (e.g., scarves, hats, blankets to lay on) for me, based on what I described to her. I decided not to use any of them (because I wanted to keep it simple), and she was not at all offended and didn't try to push me to use them.

I was very nervous about how my new rescue dog (who is afraid of all humans other than myself) would do with Shell. I told Shell beforehand to just ignore Penny (my dog) and not make eye contact with her, based on advice from a professional dog trainer I hired to work with Penny's fears. Shell listened to my requests regarding Penny, and was able to get some amazing photos of just Penny, and Penny and me together. Penny was very much at ease, which made me feel at ease during the entire shoot. Shell was also very professional with my parents' senior dog (who was also photographed by Shell), and had a great sense of humor with Chuck tried to hump Shell's leg a few times (much to my horror!). Shell also took photos of my and my parents' cat in a tiny outdoor room - she made the angles work in the photos.

Shell didn't rush me at all during the session, and she ensured that she captured every pose on my list from our phone consultation (she actually had a written list and checked items off during the session).

Within about one week, Shell had created a webpage for me to view the photo shoot. She when through probably hundreds of photos and only presented me with the best of the best (which was still close to 100 photos). I greatly appreciated the fact that she weeded through the photos - the last person I hired for head shots just gave me a flash drive with 300 mostly unusable photos from the shoot.

Shell did an all-around AMAZING job for me and my new business! I truly believe she (and her work products) are worth every cent. I was able to remove all of the stock photos I had originally on my website and replace them with Shell's photos - I finally believe my website looks professional and truly shows my love of animals. I would highly recommend Wildflower Studio Photography to anyone who is looking for fantastic photos from a relaxing photo session, especially if they have a pet who is nervous around strangers.
