As an event planner, I know that it is a very intimidating task to pick the right caterers for anyone's special event. From the moment I started looking in to Vero Beach as an event site, I started hearing local residents recommend Wild Thyme consistently. I am SO glad that I listened to their recommendations because working with Wild Thyme was such a joy from start to finish. I can't thank Cheryl and her team enough. They were so professional in their set-up and so personable with all of our guests. Cheryl is an incredible coordinator and she was so friendly and communicative throughout the entirety of the planning process and night of the event itself. My guests devoured the food and we loved the fun family-style Seafood Boil that Wild Thyme was able to set up for us. Having Cheryl and her team in charge of food & beverage for the night put my mind at ease and made everything I had to do as a planner so much less stressful. My husband and I first encountered Wild Thyme catering at a 2018 charity event in Vero Beach. The food was terrific and the staff so cordial and professional, we decided to try them for a 40 person party April 2019. Cheryl Ward was my contact and she was incredible, providing options, advice, and making me feel so confident leading up to our event. Mike and Kim were our on site people for the party itself - WOW! They were just perfect - precisely on time, assessed the room quickly and knew exactly how to configure it for maximum flow and enjoyment. They were totally present throughout, anticipating what was needed before it actually was, refreshing everything so the presentation was beautiful from start to finish. Cheryl and Travis went above and beyond from day one. When we arrived for our tasting they had a nice table set for us with flowers, offered us wine, beer, or water. Then, after some chit chat, they started to bring out the food. Each plate was not only delicious, but beautifully prepared as well. We went to a few other tastings prior to going to Wild Thyme and theirs was the only one that made us feel like we were having that true wedding tasting experience. For us this was big! We love good food so one of the most important aspects of our wedding was that we wanted great food - and Wild Thyme more than delivered!For appetizers we ended up choosing their lobster biscuit, ahi tuna bites, candied bacon bruschetta, and tropical shrimp. In addition to that they made up a charcuterie board which was amazing and had an enormous amount of food! One of our friends (who were competitive barbecuers) offered to barbecue for us as our wedding gift. Wild thyme was so flexible and was readily willing to work with them. So, since the meat was covered, we needed sides. We chose mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, strawberry balsamic salad, cornbread, and asparagus. We also didn’t have a cake at our wedding, but instead had a dessert bar, which of course was created by Wild Thyme. We had banana pudding (probably the best dessert I’ve ever eaten), blueberry cobbler, brownies, a cookie assortment, and mini cheese cakes. Lastly, we decided to have them cater our alcohol as well, including a signature welcome drink (which was excellent) and two bartenders. The bartenders did a great job! Every item they brought out in our tasting and then again at our wedding was exceptional. We have heard nothing but rave reviews about how good the food was at the wedding! In fact a few of our friends, who are getting married in the next year, are looking into hiring them for their wedding as well! I cannot say enough about the food and words just wouldn’t do it justice! However, as amazing as the food was, Cheryl was equally as wonderful. From day one communication was a breeze. She always got back to us exceptionally fast and was always so pleasant. As the wedding grew closer, my questions increased and she answered each of them patiently and honestly. On the day of the wedding, she made sure to bring us a plate of appetizers since we were taking photos during cocktail hour. And throughout the day, every time she saw me, she continually checked in to make sure we were doing OK. I can’t say enough how much we appreciated her kindness and professionalism throughout the whole process!My only regret is that we should’ve asked them to put a plate for us in the fridge so we could’ve enjoyed the food again the next day!! I produced a three day event for roughly 150 people each, with different themes, and Wild Thyme, Travis and Cheryl, did the most amazing job. From start to finish, they performed impeccably for a demanding clientele. The event was not without challenges, given its' venue and complexity, and they handled everything with ease and grace. Not to mention their food is absolutely incredible. My wife and I chose Travis and his crew at Wild Thyme to cater a large rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch during our wedding weekend and our only regret is that we did not also have him cater the wedding reception. Travis was professional in every sense of term. He was polite, direct, consultative, responsive, and respectful to our wishes and guests. His staff were equally as impressive. From our first planning meeting through the end of our event, Travis and his team worked with us to provide the most amazing wedding reception for our daughter. Our family of foodies was in heaven with the menu, from the charcuterie to the carving station to the dessert bar, we and our 180 guests were treated to a night to remember. OK we just have to start with, YES, to the bacon wrapped dates! At one point these flavor bites were being thrown from the appetizer tables across the yard to guests that had to have just one more. . (Don't let the brides mom catch you doing this...) Tonya and Travis from Wild Thyme Catering were so flexible to work with us through small showers and family photos. They made what could have been a stressful weather pattern into a beautifully Thymed service only the experience of these professionals could make possible. (If there is any chance of showers, no worries Travis is a weatherman too, pulling up radars and timing everything to perfection.) We can't thank Travis and his server Tonya enough for their creative tastes. They had a variety for all to enjoy. From tender Lamb appetizers to the local honey butter on the corn bread muffins, it was hard to tell if all were smiling from the wedding and family or the overload of Wild flavors seducing their neurons into bliss. We had the Country Boil and Crab legs as a main dish, and we personally guarantee you won't be worried about every guest being satisfied. What ever menu you decide on just be sure to request the dates, you owe it to your taste buds and yourself.
