We dined at Coastal Provisions on Christmas evening and we were very impressed. Our waitress was very friendly and did a wonderful job giving us enough time to make our choices but not so much time that we felt neglected. The she crab soup was wonderful with the most delicious bit of crusty, buttery toast,,, I wanted more of that. Samantha with the wild dunes was a tremendous help from the original phone call all the way through the execution of our stay during our wedding weekend. We had family, friends and loved ones staying with us in Charleston for the entire weekend (some for up to a week) and Samantha helped organize and coordinate the needs and room styles that best fit each and every one of our guests. We also had our welcome party at the Wild Dunes Resort and Samantha and her team set up and coordinated the entire event with our parents so it went off without a hitch. We even ran into some potential weather issues and we ended up having an amazing event! The resort was clean, service was great the $30 a day resort fee seemed excessive because it was (nearly) winter and we were unable to actually use most of the amenities, which are all outdoors. We would love to visit again when it is warmer and we can use the pools etc. More...

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect here. We sat in the bar area, which is ultra casual as expected. Noise level was busy, but not crazy. We started with the She Crab soup. It was one of the best I have ever had. Light, but rich, with plenty of small slivers of crab. The shaved tenderloin salad was amazing as well. I ordered the Chicken Leg confit. It was perfectly prepared, and accompanied by grilled squash and rainbow carrots, with a pecan gremolata. It was absolutely perfect. I’d go back based on it alone. We will be returning soon. What a great spot, no matter where you rent! There is so much to do. Bring your family here to fix what ails you. I want to move here. It is safe enough to let the kids go on thier own. The beach is wonderful. The pavillion is always a buzz with something. The golf is spectacular! Deer everywhere. Things are crowded and slim pickings in the area, restaraunts, grocery, etc, but it is fun to go the way of the locals for the most part. Different units widely differ in standard and standard of care. We've been to a very run-down unit which was smelly unclean and very unpleasant and then were moved to a fantastic unit which was a dream. There's no room service in these units. Although my wife and I have been to Isle of Palms previously, never stayed at Wild Dunes. We stayed in the hotel, room with balcony. Had issues with the shower, no one would answer the room service number. Finally someone responded but didn't have the necessary items to correct the problem. We have stayed at the Wild Dunes Resort for many years and we love it! We like to stay in one of the Ocean Point homes which has a beautiful pool & spa as well as great beach access. Wild Dunes is a wonderful community and we especially enjoy the resort amenities. Our favorite thing to do is bike as a family. The bike path is well maintained and makes for a lovely ride. We like biking to Hudson's market (near the hotel) for ice coffees, snacks and lunch. Live music, family bingo, movie night, kids activities/camps, golf, tennis, yoga, basketball court, great pools, fitness center and spa! There are many fabulous nearby restaurants...ask the locals! A couple favorites are Morgan Creek Grill, Poe's Tavern & Hometeam BBQ. We also like Duney's ice cream shop near the hotel and playing checkers in the hotel lobby. More...
