Not quite sure on where to start with explaining how good my first lesson with Ben was, with being a total beginner myself Ben really took his time and explained things in detail he was very encouraging. Very laid back, no pressure lesson. He made me see things in a different light. He's an excellent photographer with a brilliant eye! Would highly recommend. I met Ben through the Love for Somerset Facebook page. Having only had my camera since June, I joined the page and shared a few photo's. Ben's feedback and his images encouraged me to think about learning how to make the most of my new found hobby. A couple of weeks ago I asked Ben if he would do a 1-1 workshop with me, he happily agreed and planned a day. We met up yesterday in Weston Super-mare, the plan being to visit a few places in Weston, move to Berrow and finish at Burnham-on-Sea Lighthouse for sunset, a 9hour day! It was a brilliant day, Ben took me through some basics, explaining composition and camera settings, enabling me to take full control, including having a go at long exposures. I found his style of teaching to be just what I needed, a mix of information giving with plenty of opportunities to try out what he was explaining under his watchful eye. He gave plenty of feedback, lots of positive with redirection when needed. Ben was easy to get on with, and fun to be around. On top of all that he enabled me to come away with great shots and new perspectives. I cannot recommend highly enough to others wanting to learn more. I felt I was never making the most of my camera , mostly using the auto mode , quite simply because I didn't understand it. I would spend hours trawling through You Tube vids and the cameras manual and would end up completely overwhelmed. Then I found Ben. I booked a morning with him which we spent at Hestercombe. My wife bought me a day out with Ben as a Christmas treat
We both went to a mutually agreed venue, Ham Wall yesterday and had the best experience we could have wished of from Ben; went away after an early cold start and learnt so much about our cameras we thought we knew before but have added such a lot of knowledge and enhanced enjoyment of the kit we have plus now purchased a further large telephoto one later that day

Ben came to take some photos of us as well as all our family & Friends that attended our daughter Layla-Rose's christening. Afterwards Ben came to her Joint Christening/First Birthday party to take more Amazing Photos.
Well what can we say....Everyone knows it's not easy taking photos of little ones on the move, Ben did a amazing job and more.
We love love love all the photos that he managed to capture.

Ben shot our wedding (and I believe this was his first wedding) back in September 2017. We also had a pre-wedding shoot with Ben in what I can only describe as ‘borderline end-of-the-world’ weather conditions. All things considered, Ben is amazing. He’s easy-going, flexible, creative, enthusiastic, and very easy to work with. I don’t think there’s a photographer out there who offers better value for money and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. If you don’t know #whoisbenjamin, it’s about time you found out!

Ben did our engagement and wedding photos - we knew as soon as we got engaged we wanted Ben to be our photographer and we weren't disappointed. Ben is professional (and was put to the test with some of the more challenging guests/ staff at our wedding) he is brilliant at putting you at ease in front of the camera.
Our engagement shoot was one of my favourite days- he made it so much more then a photoshoot by getting us to talk about how we met/ what we think and feel about each other and other little things that really brought the wedding into perspective and eased a lot of my stress
The photos are brilliant and half of me wants to share them with the world while the other half is keen to keep them to myself and savour the memories and meaning they hold

I’ve worked with Ben on three occasions now in three very different locations.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

Ben does so much more than take a photograph of you.

He borrows a moment in your life and captures it for you forever.
His work will capture your feelings and emotions during that moment and translate them in to a photograph. All of my photos tell a little story about different traits and aspects of me!

When he has a camera in his hand he knows no fear and he helped me to magnify my strengths and feel so much more confident; that has built and built every time we have worked together.
