In our industry (digital marketing). everything is constantly changing in terms of Google algorithm updates, new functionality in Facebook, customer engagement on digital devices etc. that we have to stay on top of our game to continuously keep up-to-date with all the changes.
Whilst some may see that as a negative, for us it makes life more interesting! No two weeks are ever the same.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In a former life I used to run a marketing department for a large agency. My sales managers used to sell our SEO services to customers, based on unrealistic goals, just so they could meet their targets and earn commission. Sadly that meant having an "awkward" conversation for all at the end of the month, when the over-promised results were not achieved.
When I set up the Whitefish Marketing agency, I did so on the idea that we would only "sell" what we knew we could deliver for clients. Nothing more!
