Rosie is a pleasure to work with! We have used her for a newborn/family in-home photo session, as well as an organized 2nd birthday party within the last few months. She captured fantastic still and candid photos... under the circumstances, it was nothing short of a miracle to get pictures of these high-energy 2 year olds! She never made us feel rushed, always went above and beyond (didn't blink an eye to get in an awkward position just to get the right shot.. and thanks for getting in the jump-house, too!!!), and is simply a pleasure to be around. Rosie is great! She came to take newborn photos of me, my husband, our 3-week-old and our 2-year old, and she handled all the madness of two fussy kids like a champ! (my daughter pooped on the lovely white cloth we were supposed to take pictures on, and my son was being a tantrumy two-year-old, but you would never know from the photos). She was right on time and worked super efficiently, getting lots of shots of the whole family and turning around beautifully edited pictures in less than a week. And I love her style - really natural, lots of light, candid shots, and not the cheesy posed newborn thing a lot of people do. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Catching the subject in the moment they least expect! Candid photography always shows the true personality of the person in the picture.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What are you hoping to capture? Do you have a location in mind?
What do you love most about your job?
The client response. Sharing photos with a client after they're edited is so satisfying. Showing them how happy and beautiful they are from a different perspective is so pleasing.
What inspired you to start your own business?
There's so many people trying to do the same thing in the photography world. I was tired of seeing the traditional, posed family photos all my friends were sharing on Facebook, so I decided to take a different stance and freshen things up. My business is a light, fun, and modern perspective to lifestyle photography.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am always willing to try out your ideas! If you have something crazy in mind, lets do it. I'm not opposed to anything.
