After doing quite a bit of shopping around town for the perfect venue for our daughter’s Quinceañera, we came across this hidden gem in the heart of downtown Bakersfield. The Westchester Downtown, WOW! This venue has it all! Upon entering the venue, your eyes are immediately drawn to the breathtaking chandeliers in the grand ball room. Our 250 guests fit comfortably with a spacious dance floor, buffet tables, cake table, candy table, gift table, and photo booth! There is a separate area for the bar set up, and full access to a very large, and clean full sized kitchen. Another plus is the option of renting the downstairs club underneath the venue. There is a huge downstairs bathroom and spacious changing room perfect for any bride, bridesmaids, or in our case Quinceañera, and her court for changing, make up and hair touch ups. This little addition to the venue is a must! Tracy was absolutely wonderful to work with, and was always available by phone, text, or in person for any questions or assistance that we needed. Her coordination with outside vendors was top notch, and we were so happy that everything during our event ran so smoothly. Tracy and her amazing staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect, right down to the smallest details which exceeded all of our expectations for the night. My sister and I were looking for a large venue to accommodate around 200 people for our father's celebration of life luncheon and found The Westchester which is an excellent venue located downtown with great parking. The Westchester Downtown is a beautiful and elegant venue..I just love the Chandeliers in the Grand Ball Room and all of the details of this room are simply gorgeous. I absolutly love designing weddings and other events here because there are so many ides to have fun with. Ok, where to begin. I decided to throw myself a birthday party and had a hard time looking for the right venue. I came across The WestChester and had a meeting with Becca immediately. She sold me and I signed the contract that same day. I was nervous about space because of the "expected" amount of people to attend and she assured me I would be ok. Becca kept me completely calm the entire time we worked together. She answered every question and every text. We had several meetings during the planning of my party and we were always on the same page with things. The day of my party I was wreck filled with anxiety and she and and a few others stepped in to help and keep me calm. She went above and beyond to make sure my night was perfect. The party itself was a success and now 4 days later I'm still recuperating. Lol. I will DEFINITELY use this location again and Becca is the only one who can help me. Lol. SHE NEEDS A RAISE!!!! It's not to often you find some who want to genuinely help instead of just receiving a check and I can honestly say Becca helped my dream come true last Sunday (December 11th). When searching for wedding venues we luckily came across The Westchester. The ballroom pictures instantly captured my attention and we made an appointment to tour the place. Upon arrival, I was surprised when I realized I had driven past The Westchester on numerous occasions. From the outside the venue looks like an ordinary building; we never would’ve imagined how beautiful it is inside. We were blown away by the simplicity and elegance The Westchester offered. As you walk in, you immediately notice the hardwood floor and breathtaking chandeliers. There were approximately 250 guests at our wedding and there was ample space for our guests, dance floor, gift table, cake table, sweetheart table, dj set up, and photo booth. The venue also offers an on-site kitchen, which was a plus for us because we were set on bringing outside catering, though the venue also offers packages that include dinner options. The venue offers ample parking for your guests and vendors, which alleviates the pain of having to find a parking space in downtown Bakersfield. My husband and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with The Westchester’s wedding coordinator, Rebecca Montoya. Ms. Becca was professional and provided quality customer service. Ms. Becca thoroughly reviewed the contract in detail, which we greatly appreciated because there were no surprises in the end. I’m the type to think of a dozen questions at random times and Ms. Becca never failed to promptly answer my questions. I seriously cannot emphasize how much Ms. Becca went above and beyond in availing herself and accommodating us throughout our planning process.
