About

Juan Rezzuto believes that people connect to music at different times of their lives. As you watch him work, it is stunning to observe how he can be involved in the details and never lose sight of the big picture. His approach to piano pedagogy is very unique, one which simultaneously combines music technology, playing, reading and writing.

I wanted to write this review because thanks to this team, I have regained the confidence to study piano. The teachers are always happy, they make a real effort to teach, and they are a very cohesive community. WKMT might be the first London school I truly felt understood and listened to. I strongly recommend any person willing to learn how to play the piano to contact WKMT. More...

Our daughter started the piano lesson last year when she’s 5 (just one month shy to turning 6). She loved the lessons as the teachers are friendly, fun, patient and simply great. One year on, she passed ABRSM grade 1 with distinction, which we did not think possible, or even happening, when she started. I sometimes wish my piano teacher when I was a child was like yours. Thank you! More...

I study piano in the US and was visiting London for a month and decided to have lessons and some practice time at WKMT. Alvaro was a wonderful teacher. His approach and focus was different than my US teacher and I was able to improve in the short time. When I returned to the US my teacher appreciated what I had learned and has asked me to continue some of the studies that Alvaro had recommended. The environment of WKMT is very positive and supportive so improvement comes easily. More...

From Tommy Rogers

I was looking for a guitar teacher and searched online only to find too big a selection. Next dilemma, who to choose? I wasn't just looking for a guitarist, with little or no experience of teaching, who wanted to supplement his/her income, I wanted a teacher of guitar with a proven track record of teaching, a syllabus and professionalism. A friend recommended West Kensington Music Team. I met with Juan and Gisela of WKMT and I realised immediately that they were who I was looking for. Their professionalism is incredible and their passion for what they are doing is obvious.

Gisela was lumbered with the task of teaching me, an absolute novice. Five months on and I am absolutely delighted with my progress. Giselas' tenacity and professionalism are first class as is she.

Best wishes to all the team and I wish you the success you all deserve for providing and incredible service.

Big Love Tommy Rogers

I worked with Gisela on the piano and she is a great teacher, very patient and you can feel her love for what she is doing. A most enjoyable repertoire performed with ease, set in great acoustics, just makes you feel as if you could just pick up an instrument and play, well you kind of can after few years of training, unless you are a genius of course.
That’s what beauty of art is all about!

My experience recording with WKMT.Recording a song for your portfolio can be very expensive, but trust me it is worth it. Recording your vocals is fun, but the hard bit and what costs the most is the engineering side . For five days, spending two hours each of those days, I sat with Juan watching him pick and edit my voice for ‘Colours of The Wind,’ from Pocahontas. This process made me realise how much detail goes into making a good recording. To start, we were going through all my vocal takes, picking which sections sounded better. This took about 1hour. After that it was all about placing the vocals in time with the backing tracking. That already took 2 hours. For the rest of the 8 hours, it was all about placing reverb, editing the sound quality of my voice, thickening parts and prolonging some vocals where it needed to be. As you can see, this is a long process and needs a lot of attention, but at the end of it we were both happy with finished piece. From this experience I would recommend any performer to spend the money to get a recording professionally done, and if you have the opportunity to sit with the sound editor too you should. This would avoid disappointment if you are expecting something to what you think it might sound like, and if you are wanting it for your portfolio, you only want the best of the best! More...

The team are so lovely and such good teachers. They'll give as much guidance as you want while letting you structure your lessons to your goals. They really care about their students and are always making sure you're comfortable, happy and feel like your progressing. Their house style is difficult to implement if you've learnt elsewhere but it improves the strength and dexterity of your hands dramatically whilst giving you more control and endurance. I'm currently learning classical and jazz in tandem with separate teachers and they all manage to stay informed and unified despite teaching different practices at different times to different students.
The studio itself is split into several rooms that all have a really nice atmosphere and, of course, gorgeous pianos - they are really fun to play. The first lesson is at a discount and then it's really worth buying in bulk for the rest - for the resources and quality of tuition you get, it's a steal.

I've been taking guitar lessons with Gisela for nearly a year now - and it has hugely improved my playing ability after initially self teaching. She corrected my bad habits and set me on the right path to continue developing and improving. The depth of her knowledge and how well trained her ear is blows me away every time! Her rigour on my learning is excellent, ensuring I am applying the right balance of good technique but also recognising that I am not a perfectionist either and can stagnate if repeating the same concepts too repetitively. This balance has really helped keep me focused on continuing to improve, rather than only playing for fun and so I really look forward to my lessons and learning from the expert each time! Very highly recommended. More...

Their ability to adapt to my character and personality is amazing in order to find best way to teach without pressure within my own time. I always have super time, after each lesson feel good sky high! Really! My work schedule is busy and often changing, Juan is flexible and understands, makes sure I always get lesson with himself, Gisela or other Music Team members. Music lifts spirits, enhances life, it has saved my soul and it will remain one of my favourite hobbies eternally. Some people say in order to play good, you need to learn at a very young age - those are the ones who talk for themselves, I'm in late 20's! If you have passion, love for music, enough ambition, it is never too late... Grand piano is on my list :) More...

His confidence has grown considerably and he loves the idea of taking his piano lessons from such a talented musician as Juan Rezzuto and guitar from also much talented Gisela Paterno. The whole team of the Studio are very helpful, caring and approachable people. Being quite flexible as well, making it easy to change lessons according to our needs. We are very happy there and highly recommend their services if you wish to have a teacher, who enjoys what they do, and deliver top quality results to yourselves or your children.
