About

We have 3 yurts with logs burners/double beds and we also have a bell tent that sleep 10-14 people in a beautiful location with a sea view. It's just 15 mins walk into the historic fishing village of Polperro which has a river running through it and quaint family run shops along with places to eat indoors/outdoors.

Lovely experience, beautiful, peaceful place. Far enough away from the crowds but close enough to everything you might need

Liked: Spacious yurt with a proper double bed. Privacy from the surround fencing. Own campfire with seating and picnic table. All utensils available from the communal kitchen - we has some lovely meals cooked on our campfire. On a clear night the stars are truly amazing. The owners were happy to help for example we mentioned that a kettle was not working & brand new replacement appeared straight away. Its tranquil and peaceful. There's also chickens on site and we could help ourselves to fresh eggs. Loved it so much will definitely go again. More...

The yurts feel authentic and cozy, quiet with plenty of privacy, ideally located in open fields with a view of the ocean and an easy walk to Polperro. Lovely, friendly people, too!

Liked: A very peaceful and relaxing stay in a Stunning location and wish we could have stayed longer! A beautiful warm and cosy yurt, even during a night of torrential rain and high winds, close to site facilities. I particularly enjoyed watching the light change through the small ceiling window. We are Seasoned campers but enjoyed the ease and comfort of this trip and the home luxuries such as an electric kettle and running hot water particularly in the shower rooms. We loved the rustic charm and relaxed nature of this site.Disliked: Particularly if you have younger children it is definitely worth bringing a torch for night time as the solar path lights weren’t working. We were the only ones there for most of the time but cooking facilities could be restricted during busy periods so it could be worth bring a backup. Our bbq didn’t have a grill in it but I’m sure this would have been rectified had we mentioned it, and bring your own charcoal. More...

Liked: Yurt was very comfortable to stay in, lovely and cosy with comfy bed and warm toasty fire. Liked that still felt like enjoying the beauty of camping (cooking outside/ bbq/ generally being outdoors) but just with the added luxury of a proper bed at night. Lovely views of the surrounding rolling hills. More...

Liked: We stayed here for a few nights for my husbands birthday and loved the place! The location is great, very near to polperro (the walk up the hill keeps you fit! ) and not far to get to some other nice spots. The weather was glorious when we were there but reading the other reviews here I guess if it’s pouring with rain you might not get the full experience, though there was a lounge area to sit in which seemed cosy. The yurts themselves are comfortable, and had little log burners but we didn’t need it. There’s a couple of nice bathrooms to use and a small but basic kitchen, good enough to make hubby pancakes for his breakfast.Matt the owner was around in the day doing a few jobs and was great, he helped us so much when we had forgotten our phone charger - and even though he didn’t have an Iphone, he borrowed the charger from a friend and gave it to us the next day, what a star!Disliked: Going home! Liked: A great place to stay with small children. We usually camp in our own tent, but as we were only staying for a couple of nights, we decided we would save ourselves the hassle of setting up/packing away - we are now converted! We stayed in the Condor yurt and really appreciated the space inside - and our rambunctious boys liked being able to play in the field without pestering anyone (I hope). The owner dropped by to welcome us but otherwise we didn't see him again, but we prefer to be left to our own devices so this was fine with us. Nice little touches around the site with the willow arches and the big table. Nice to escape the 'club house' type feel of more commercial sites.Disliked: I don't think I would have changed anything. Liked: We stayed in the condor yurt. Comfortable bed & futon for my daughter. Log burner. Quiet, lovely sea view. Parked right next to the yurt. It had a hammock and a fire pit outside too. Swings and football golf. Liked the kitchen area and lovely hot showers! Staff were really welcoming and friendly.Disliked: We didn’t dislike anything we loved our holiday. More...

Q&As

I love that we are eco-friendly as the shower rooms and kitchen are all solar powered. I love working outdoors and enjoy seeing people have amazing birthday parties with a BBQ at the footy golf, or alternatively, having campfires at the yurts potentially with their own music and sound system.

I was talking to a friend in a pub and we came up with the idea of a campsite at one end of the field and football golf at the other end. My Dad gave me a 9 acre field as my inheritance as he is a semi-retired farmer who has converted his barns into holiday lets, which are also available for hire with him.

We are eco-friendly and a small business. The campsite and football golf have a sea view in a peaceful spot which is idyllic as well as being very reasonably priced
