Booked for festive afternoon tea in the main restaurant and received excellent service from start to end, staff were really friendly and helpful with a good assortment of food and were flexible to adapt when needed. We highly recommend.

We have previously stayed at this hotel and breakfast was delightful, still remember the serves Babs and Ash. Wonderfully friendly. We attended Weighbridge on 11 December 2019 for an office Christmas Lunch. I could not fault the service at all. All of the staff were so organised and helpful which meant that the lunch was highly enjoyable without any stress. A particular thank you to Antony who was very very friendly, professional, smart and helpful. Antony was most attentive throughout the lunch and ensured that the lunch ran as smooth as possible. On telephoning to reserve a place the receptionist was very accommodating. Ensuring we could sit where requested. (The Drawing Room). |The hotel was decorated beautifully. Fabulous afternoon tea taken in this lovely hotel. We were initially taken to the drawing room,which was very comfortable (no roaring fire though! That would have been very atmospheric). From there to the dining room and to a beautifully set out table. The staff here were brilliant and could not do enough for us. One gentleman ( a tall man) was particularly attentive - nothing was too much trouble. He could not however conjour up pork pie, which diners on another table insisted should be there! It turns out that it was taken off the gentlemen's afternoon tea some time ago,although it still appears on their website photo. |The sandwiches and all the other delicacies were lovely, tasty and nicely presented. We wanted something a little different from an ordinary cafe afternoon tea and this hotel certainly gave us that. Very good value too. On leaving, in late afternoon, the receptionist was not particularly accommodating or friendly hence 4 stars. More...

Visited for a mid-week business conference. Staff organised in advance a projector and screen, checking that their leads would suit my laptop for the powerpoint presentation. Good coffee and pastries on arrival, nicely laid out table for 20 persons. Buffet lunch was delicious, especially the homemade cottage pie and wonderfully light crisp battered goujons of fish. wow can I just say we had my daughters wedding at wentbridge this week. we had the most perfect day. the venue and staff were fantastic and made sure that my daughters and son in laws day was the most perfect day ever. we also had a meal on the thurs night and one of the staff babs couldn't do enough to help and was there for all our needs she was also at breakfast on the fri morning and again was fantastic thank you so much. just to thank the staff for making my daughter and son in laws day so perfect carnt thank you enough. would recommend to anyone for your special day. thanks again sue and andy dalton More...

Fabulous wedding at Wentbridge House Hotel, the staff were amazing, the food at the wedding breakfast was probably the best I have had and I have eaten in Michelin * restaurants. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and ensured that my day and breakfast went smoothly and couldn't do enough to help. This was our 5th visit. As usual the welcome and check in was really good fun and professionally carried out. Our previous booking was a request for a disabled persons room and this one gave us the same room! ||||The staff were as usual efficient and really good fun. The food good and more than enough, with people remembering where we were and what we liked.||||The room was large with a separate disabled bathroom. It was a peaceful stay and comfortable.||||I would question why lights are on all night outside. Filters in a little and must cost over the year.||||This is a good place with well organised staff who all seem happy to work together remembering that the customer is priority it appears. From the second we arrived the service was excellent. We were greeted at reception by 2 members of staff, Vicky & Chloe, who pleasantly checked us in and offered us a lovely arrival treat of flapjack and a drink. We were directed to our amazing room where we had a card waiting for our special occasion. As we made our way down for our evening meal in the Brasserie, we were greeted and shown to our table by Ash who quickly offered us some drinks. Our order was taken by a very helpful and polite guy called Cosmin. The food and service was amazing throughout. We had an amazing and peaceful sleep in our room and the following morning the room service breakfast arrived perfectly on time with everything we had ordered. My husband and I recently visited this beautiful hotel for afternoon tea and as usual the whole experience was wonderful. Wentbridge offer a traditional afternoon tea, and a Gentleman’s afternoon tea which was more savoury based and perfect for my husband . The staff at this hotel are fabulous, their attention to detail is excellent and we would like to say a special thank you to Stuart for looking after us throughout our visit. Everything adequate to good apart from being put in room 81 (Apparently the last available room) which is adjacent to a very noisy lift. If it were my bedroom I would sort the lift out or soundproof the room and also it's time the mattress was replaced. As seasoned travellers, we stayed at this great Hotel for the first time earlier in the month.||The Hotel was chosen primarily to accommodate another family commitment. ||Having spoken to a most helpful member of the Reception Team, a reservation was made that met all of my needs.||Our expectations were completely exceeded and we had an excellent stay at a reasonable cost.||What sets this Hotel aside from most previous Hotels as the battalion of cheerful, committed staff who were all great ambassadors for the Hotel.||We WILL return to this great Hotel! I stayed at this hotel for a function and the location whilst set back from the road was easy to find. ||||A warm reception when booking in however I felt the offer of lemon drizzle square whilst I was also trying to get out my purse etc a little rushed. ||||The room was very spacious, well equipped, and very warm, in fact a little too warm for me. The bed was comfortable and there were copious opportunities to refresh oneself with either a hot drink, bottled water, a bottle of wine as well as a selection of crisps, popcorn, nuts, chocolate etc which came at a price. ||||The bathroom was kitted out with Molton Brown toiletries and the water was hot and a good pressure. It would have been lovely to have had a bath mat but I used a spare bath towel for this. A robe and slippers were in the wardrobe along with an iron and board; the trouser press was non functional but the safe was. ||||A hot buffet was served on the Friday night which was badly lit and mediocre in quality but the staff were cheerful||||On the Saturday my friend and I decided to treat ourselves to Afternoon Tea and despite having an extensive menu of choices had run out of Earl Grey! ||||I find this entirely unacceptable to run out of a popular, store cupboard staple and this points to poor stock keeping and the waiter should have known this and apprised us of the paucity prior to us sitting down. The tea when it came was hot and the sandwiches fresh, the scones were good however the cakes looked a little tired. ||||The evening catering was very good apart from the highly coloured pink cheesecake which left something to be desired but both the fishcake and the salmon were excellent. We've stayed at Wentbridge twice this month once in the old house and once in the new block - both extremely comfortable - We prefer the historic old house but very comfortable in both rooms. We held a family birthday dinner for 9 in the restaurant and couldn't have had better service from the friendly and attentive staff , who indulged the 6 year old and served excellent food to the adults.The restaurant manager was most attentive and well informed. Just been to our friends wedding reception and overnight stay at this beautiful hotel and can't praise it enough. The food at some hotels can be hit and miss at a large wedding but this was spot on. From the delicious and plentiful canapés to the lovely 4 course meal, everything was wonderful. ||||Our room (a superior double) was spacious and very nice and the staff let us check in a little early, which was a bonus. As well as the spacious room, we had a large bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries. The cost of the room isn't cheap but it is worth it.||||As mentioned, both the room and food was excellent but the most praise should go to the wonderful staff. Everyone was friendly, polite and very helpful and they seemed to go the extra mile to make a special weekend even more special It's a long time since I've experienced customer service as good as this and my thanks go to all the hotel staff.
