Amanda is an exceptional and amazing. Very knowledgeable and will give you right advise and tools to addapt your way of eating to your needs. I had very high level of bad cholesterol and a high blood sugar. I have a pretty good knowledge about nutrition, but was not sure how to implement it to right eating. After talking to Amanda , she made a sample of meals for me and gave me an information what to implement in my meals and what to avoid. Just then I understood that I wasn't eating that healthy as I was thinking I did. Just after 3 months my blood work came back with perfect results. Amanda is friendly, accommodating, and very professional. What's unique and what I love Amanda is that she's the only dietitian I know who's actually gone to a culinary school to better help her clients. I also love the fact that she didn't make me completely root out the cuisines that I love and grew up with. Instead, we worked our way around it just made it healthier. I have participated in two in-home cooking sessions with Amanda. Both times, she has taught me important and long-lasting kitchen skills and shared knowledge on ingredients. I am also impressed by how many dishes we cooked in a short amount of time. I like that Amanda worked with me to develop the menu and she prepared a shopping list and customized recipes for me and my dietary needs. We have worked with Amanda for nearly a year, and have participated in two at home cooking sessions. Amanda put together several recipes that were dairy free, gluten free and low carb to help us with our new dietary restrictions and to give us different alternatives in the kitchen. Amanda responded quickly via e-mail, was very professional and we had a lot of fun cooking with her at home. Amanda is the perfect person to help you out with any eating habits you want to start, continue or improve! I have dietary restrictions such as not being able to have dairy and gluten. I also have eczema which I would like to keep formant and under control. Excellent nutrition counselling and strategies! Amanda has helped me change the way I think about food. I have been trying to eat healthier and change my lifestyle but the information on the web has been overwhelming and complicated, luckily Amanda was able to help simplify the research and ease my anxiety regarding food choices. She is a great teacher and provides a creative approach for meal planning! I love following her recipes, they're delicious and the ingredients are accessible (especially considering the remote community I live in). My main goal was to increase my energy levels, which was definitely accomplished in the month I worked with Amanda. The skills and strategies taught by Amanda feel sustainable and more like a lifestyle transition than a fad, which I am particularly thankful for. Awesome cooking class. Amanda did a private class for me and my gf and she was great. Very professional, sent us recipe and shopping list in advance, made sure it was what we were looking for, spent time on the day of teaching us very practical cooking tips. We had an awesome day cooking and we left with a bunch of extra food for the week. She was a great teacher, was patient with us, and was smiling the entire time. Amanda is amazing! I had gone many years experiencing symptoms of IBS and not knowing what to eat. She was able to pinpoint the trigger foods and show me what to eliminate while also providing me with a wide range of foods I was able to eat. She also provides a meal plan with a variety of options. I have been using Amanda’s services for about a year now to help with my weight loss goals. She is a dietician as well as a chef and I think that really makes her stand out from everyone else. Amanda is friendly and provide reasonable suggestions to food choices. We love our tasty food and one of the reason we went to Amanda is because of her culinary background. We did the 30 days challenge and cooking class with Amanda not because we didn't know how to cook - in fact my hubs is a great home cook. We find that the cooking class expands our knowledge in cooking healthy and yet tasty food. She even provide us with picky eating toddler recipe. Amanda is a very knowledgeable and compassionate dietician and I highly recommend her services. She offers different types of services (in-home, at her location, cooking classes, on-line/telephone counselling, etc. ,) I chose the 4 week program with telephone and email counseling. My program was personalized to my lifestyle and dietary preferences. Amanda creates a completely individualized fitness and eating program for each of her clients. It is straightforward and focuses on healthy choices and exercise. Amanda goes above and beyond for her clients. She always responded to my emails and answered all my questions with an incredible wealth of knowledge, I love her newsletters, instagram posts and you tube videos, which help you make healthy choices at the grocery store and cook healthy recipes. The best part of her counselling is that the diet and exercise plan is not a “quick fix”. She promotes a lifestyle change that is for the long term. Amanda is very knowledgeable, both scientifically and nutritionally! She sets realistic goals for us that we are able to achieve each week. She explains the reasons behind eating each food group and it is specific to our body type. We did the 4 week program with weekly check in reports and phone calls every 2 weeks. I am so glad that my university health program connected me with Amanda. Chatting with her has really contributed to a healthy and non-obsessive mindset about eating in a way that gives me more energy and gets more of the nutrients I need.
