Wellman Fitness uses protocols that are fad free and actually work. My advice will probably go against what you have heard before, all the protocols are scientifically based and work, providing you use the protocols consistently.

I needed real advice, motivation and results – something I never got from a monthly gym membership! This is where Tom really delivers. He knows his stuff and pushes you (very politely) way beyond your comfort zone.
It’s definitely hard work but well worth the time and money. And he must be doing something right as I’m still training with him four years later! Training with Tom is the best investment you can make in yourself and you won't be disappointed.

Tom got me thinking about macros and not Macy's. At the end of the day you get out of your body what you put in. I was still able to enjoy the food I like and smash my goals. With a diet plan in place and personal training program i was able to shed fat, improve my form and gain lean muscle

I Joined Tom's personal training in September with low self esteem, not much confidence and feeling quite over weight, I then completed the 12 week challenge and I can honestly say I've never felt better. Since having Tom as my personal trainer I have gained so much more confidence and self motivation, fat loss and a lot more strength... On top of being able to maintain a healthy diet due to the great food advice he has given me, even being able to have a little treat...Tom has motivated me so much I have kept up my regime! Would recommend Tom Wellman to anyone for his professionalism through my training... I always felt dieting and exercise was a chore... but with this it's been enjoyable through it all! I now feel ready to change my wardrobe and wear the clothes I want....

I started with Tom a little over 2 years ago and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I have made. I had got into a bit of a rut exercise wise and had put on weight that I wasn't happy with. I wanted to make a change and thought I needed a bit of a kick start; that's exactly what Tom did!
Though I was a little nervous at first (I wasn't sure what to expect and gyms can be a bit intimidating...) Tom put me at ease straight away. Every week I was making progress and being encouraged and supported along the way. This sounds so clichéd but Tom really helped me make a lifestyle change with my outlook on food choices, health and exercise. 2 years on and I am still having my weekly session and can genuinely say that I enjoy it every week, though my legs might disagree on leg day...
Sessions are catered to your fitness and ability and every time, you feel like you have had a real workout. You are kept on track by weekly weigh ins and lean body mass tracking and will be introduced to myfitnesspal where you can control your macros.
So if you are uncertain on whether you would benefit from a personal trainer or who you should go to, I can't recommend Tom enough.

I completed a 6 week training program with Tom. It was really fantastic and I would definitely recommend it. I lost 5% body fat and increased my lean mass to 91%. The sessions were hard but enjoyable. Tom mixed it up so I never did the same work out. I can definitely notice the difference with defined abs and toned arms and bum! Lots of friends and family have commented on my shape and how it has changed and toned up. Tome provided me with a home work out that is really great. I also learned lots about a healthy diet to go along with the exercise. Extremely motivational and fun personal trainer. Thanks Tom. See you soon for sure :) Helena.

After only 5 weeks of working out with Tom I lost a stone! The workouts we do now is something I never though I would be able to do, but week by week I'm getting stronger and healthier. I set my own personal goal and that's what we work toward, Im excited to countine training and see the results :) I would hightly recommend Tom for any one looking for a trainer to help them reach their goals !

I have been training with Tom for 5 weeks and have lost a stone already! I have a few more of them waiting to be burnt off too, but I can tell from this early stage that with Tom's support, I will definitely get there. In the past, a lack of knowledge on processed foods and careless overeating led me to try many ways of losing weight. I've tried Weight Watchers (unrealistic long-term), zero carbs (no need!), only fruit and veg (yuck!)... etc! Of course, none of those worked for the simple reason that they are short-term solutions or didn't provide me with enough information to truly make lifestyle changes. For instance, on Weight Watchers I didn't need to check fat content, so could easily have regular McDonalds and other poor quality food as long as I ate less through the day... Sounds like a faddy diet and was so easy to slip into that rhythm for someone who gave into temptation easily. Tom was recommended to me by a family friend and having seen the fantastic results (dramatically different physique and more energy) I instantly got in touch. From the start, Tom has been fantastic. He's 100% supportive, whether that is with friendly encouragement in person, documents/emails containing advise on at home work outs or information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Tom is also great with responding to any questions I may have. Whether you prefer emails, texts or twitter he will always get in touch shortly with thorough help - you're never left to struggle. For someone who never did exercise, loves ice cream, crisps and everything else naughty I can honestly say you will see great results with Tom. I actually look forward to my gym sessions now - which I never did when I went alone! You will learn how to fit in all of your favourite foods too. While still losing weight I've been out for meals with friends, had alcoholic drinks occasionally, had mini tubs of Ben and Jerry's and eaten crisps to

Tom Wellman is an honest, sensitive, respectful and considerate coach. I know he has many clients but I always feel like I have his complete attention and focus. He is accessible and flexible, but he will challenge you to push yourself and do better and you will, as long as you want to of course. He hasn't judged me, I have never felt that he was disappointed in me or been led to feel disappointed in myself after a session; I always leave with a sense of achievement and feeling happy! Tom is encouraging, enabling and will empower that bit of you that brought you to this page.

Tom is a fantastic PT, his knowledge is excellent and his passion for fitness means he is genuinely interested in your progress. He keeps all training sessions interesting and tailored to you. They are tough but enjoyable.
He has pushed me to become stronger and leaner and also given me the confidence to be able to train properly alone. He keeps all your stats and progress pics keeping you on track with your goal. The nutrition guidance has been easy to follow but he's also realistic with the plan.
He is so supportive and always on hand to provide advice or guidance. I wish I had found him years ago to save me from cardio and no carbs.
I love my weekly training sessions with Tom and don't want them to end!
A genuinely lovely person too!!
