Our wedding experience with Sally and her team was more than wonderful. The whole process felt easy, fluid and unstressful from the very beginning. Because of Sallys ability to be clear, adaptable, humoristic and progressive we could just sail along and enjoy the fun parts of preparing for a wedding. It‘s almost 1 year ago, 5th of January. We are so glad that we did this! Sally totally understood what we wanted. “Eloping” to Cape Town was a thrilling adventure, but Sally, Andred and Heathyr had our back. We highly recommend their services. Words can not describe the wedding that we had on 20th April 2018 thanks to Sally, Kathy, Andred and Ben at Weddings Abroad. We discovered Sally online whilst searching for wedding planners in South Africa who help couples from abroad. Every step of the process was easy and fluid. When Sally could not be there on the day, Kathy stepped in and met us at our hotel with Andred two days before as agreed. This meeting put any worries aside and we could look forward to our day knowing we were in great hands. The wedding day itself was incredible. The location, the views, the evening meal at Pigalles. They even ordered the sunshine for us at the top of Table Mountain! What a stunning location to get married. We'd recommend it for sure! We can not thank Sally and her team enough for making our day as special as it was. We would recommend them to anyone thinking of booking their wedding in South Africa. I'm writing this review with so much pride right now... We met Sally in June 2017 just to discuss possible venues for our wedding. We left that meeting with endless possibilities and so much options. We started planning our wedding from September and we approached Sally and went for the Beach packaged. From there on this wedding was literally planned via emails, WhatsApp messages and telephone calls as we are situated in the Northern Cape. We met up with Sally again 2 days before our wedding in May 2018 and all was ready and in place to say "I do".... We found Sally and her team on the internet once my then partner and I decided we'd like to get married in Cape Town. Thembi my then partner is South African and I'm British, we met and live here in U. K. though we holiday in South Africa. Getting married in another country is complicated enough, but the added complication of being a South African national and U.K. national also both being divorced seemed a minefield. Sally however was fabulous, she and Andred guided us through the whole process very smoothly. However what Sally does is to make all your dreams of the perfect wedding into reality. Having Sally plan our wedding was the best idea ever - besides getting married. We had found her on the internet and it was love on the first email! All along we had the feeling of being around an additional family member. Great, since we had a very intimate family wedding. She organised wonderful chefs that catered for us in our beautiful beach villa, she decorated the house in a way that could have been photographed by ELLE Decoration, she brought her daughter along to babysit and last but not least captured the essence of the day in hundreds of amazing photos. Weddings Abroad/Gay weddings Abroad are a highly recommended and reputable company. As we are sure most people can expect- organising a wedding abroad in a country you have never visited can be an extremely daunting process. We can honestly say that had we have known then what we know now, we had no reason for concern. Sally was extremely attentive from day 1 and captured every single detail asked for and more, the whole experience was one we will never forget. Getting married of course is a daunting logistical challenge, and the idea of taking the big step in a foreign country seems like even more of a stretch. ...How wrong we thankfully were! From the moment we contacted Sally with our rather vague enquiry, fears quickly evaporated as we were guided and practically assisted with putting all necessary arrangements in place - from identifying the perfect venue, arranging for hair and makeup, planning an after wedding dinner, arranging for (stunning) professional photography and, of course, getting the right paperwork done. We took a leap of faith when we decided to ask Sally to help us plan our wedding. Yes, her reviews were positive but we were trusting her to plan our wedding long distance as we are in Virginia, USA.
