Another lovely stay. I meet up with friends and family when visiting Nottingham. I’m always delighted to see how much care is taken to keep the cottages and garden looking lovely . ..it warms my heart as my grandparents (Tommy and Ada Sadler) lived at Sutton’s Yard and my parents until ‘62 my two older sisters were born there! ...had a great stay on Saturday night after Ruddfest. We held our Spring Boutique Pop Up Shopping Event at the Country Cottage Hotel yesterday and it was a fantastic venue! Linda was lovely and so accommodating regarding our vision for the event! As a Ruddington resident it really is a hidden Gem and I think overlooked by locals who presume it’s just a hotel and Wedding Venue! But it’s a a beautiful, quaint, cosy and absolutely charming place to pop in for a drink! It was blowing a blizzard outside, but the courtyard still looked beautiful and I’ll certainly be returning to enjoy a drink there in the near future once the weather brightens up! We can’t folt the country cottage, if I could give a higher mark I would. We got married there on 25th February. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and organised. Went on 30th Sept for our neices evening wedding reception and booked a room for the night. Didn't get the ground floor suite we thought we had booked but the suite we were given was really lovely and spacious. Just had my wedding there and had one of the best days of my entire life. The setting is so beautiful with secret gardens, homely cottages and a multi purpose main venue room that would make Carol Smilie jealous. The staff including JORDAN, MICHAEL and most importantly LINDA were a godsend. Attentive, Helpful, Hard-working, Pleasant, Approachable I am simply running out of adjectives to describe how amazing they were. They make sure it is your day and that you (and your bride of course) is the centre of attention. My now wife had the pleasure of spending a night at the venue before our wedding and she as well could not speak highly enough as to how amazing this place is and it's staff were. We had our wedding here Friday 8th September and it was the most perfect day. Linda and her team cannot do enough for you, they took the stress away for me and nothing was too much trouble. A couple of people have said it's the best wedding they have been to. The venue was just what we wanted and looked beautiful. Both our families stayed in the rooms too which was fantastic and they loved them. If you are looking for a venue that's relaxed and will cater for your every need book here, we loved it. We stayed here for one night over the weekend 1/4/17 and can't fault the hotel, staff or food at all! The courtyard suite we had was beautiful (two lamps didn't work but it made no difference! The room was still able to be well lit up even even at night) and the roll top bath was just perfect! Breakfast was lovely. Can't wait to go back. More...

Lovely place for a wedding, we had a fabulous day. We would have loved it even more if the decor had been plain white. The creamy patterned wallpaper and dated pictures don't add to the venue. The idea is to create a white base so whatever colours the bride or the party wants will look fantastic and show to best advantage. The country cottage hosted our wedding reception yesterday, and they were fabulous! The food was delicious, the rooms beautiful, and the staff friendly courteous and professional at all times. Nothing was too much trouble, and the entire day ran seamlessly. The wedding co-ordinator Linda is a star, she was always on hand to answer queries and fix any issues that arose, from initial planning through to the day itself.
