I was a little skeptical at first by hiring a videographer service that wasn't around my area and just looking online. I was thoroughly impressed by how fast, clear, and well-organized this company was! Prior to our wedding, they constantly e-mailed us and make sure we had all information they needed and they provided us with all of ours. The price was fair and the video is turning out amazing! We are still waiting for our final edit but it's been fun watching it go through the process. Our photographer, Nikki was great. She had a hectic morning because the address of our ceremony was wrong on some of her paperwork, but she still drove her butt off and got there with a smile on her face in time! !! My wife and I decided to have the wedding bug shoot our wedding. We were not disappointed. The photographer who contacted us was very professional, and used a cinematic approach to taking her photographs. She joined in the wedding festivities when invited and had a great time. Her Personality made taking the pictures less of a chore and more of a fun event. I would definitely recommend these people again for a low-cost way to get a great bunch of wedding photographs. We had such a great experience with both the Photographer and the Videographer! They made it so easy to have fun and most importantly were very concerned that I eat. .. As a bride, that won me over because everyone was sure I wouldn't eat and oh were they wrong! This team as really more than I could have ever expected! I would do it all over again! If you're looking for good quality photography but don't want to pay an arm and a leg, Wedding Bug is the way to go! Adam was the photographer assigned to our wedding, and he was completely professional, communicative and on time. We expressed some concern about shooting in the dark (we hired him from 6pm-12am), but our photos came back looking great! The quality of our photos is excellent (and, being an artist, I am picky about photos). I chose this company based on tons of 5-star ratings on WeddingWire and TheKnot. I was aware of several low-star reviews, so I did feel I was taking a very small risk, but after such a positive experience I have to conclude that the vast majority of Wedding Bug's photographers truly are professionals. We were introduced to wonderful people through wedding bug. Our photographer, John, was very professional and made sure to get every photo we'd requested during our wedding, including the spontaneous shots! DJ Coach K prepared a wonderful playlist for every part of our 6 hour day, from ceremony to reception. To this day, everyone still talks about how wonderful the music was and how it was as if the photographer wasn't even there. I was initially skeptical about WeddingBug because of some mixed reviews - but we got engagement photos and 4 hours of shooting for a very reasonable price. Even bumping up to 6-8 hours of shooting would have been reasonable. Scott Finer was our photographer (based in Maine) and he was absolutely incredible. He was funny, friendly and practical. He made me feel completely at ease during every photo. He was unobtrusive but captured all the best parts of our day. He was able to wrangle our families for pictures with ease. We had such a great experience with Wedding Bug for our wedding. I was a little skeptical when I saw the price of the package deal and what all came with it just since the price for photographers is so high in general and Wedding Bug was way more affordable. We read some reviews and went with it mainly because it was what worked with our wedding budget and just hoped for the best. It was one of the best leaps of faith that we made because they were awesome!! The Wedding Bug team was excellent throughout the whole process and the photographer that was selected for us based on our style and what we were looking for was so amazing. She was extremely professional and caught all of the moments that I wanted. When we got the photos back a week or so later (yep, a weekish) we were blown away since I know of friends that were recently married and are still waiting on their photos. The experience from start to finish has been top notch. I absolutely recommend this company especially for budget weddings, but really regardless of any budget. I got married on 4/21/18 and we used weddingbug for our videograpger and DJ. Damon (the DJ) did a fantastic job in feeling the crowd and playing a mix of both oldies and current music. The dance floor was packed the entire night! Derrick (the videographer) did a great job in being in the background. You could barely notice that he was there! We received our wedding video the other day and we were pleasantly surprised to hear sweet messages from loved ones. WeddingBug Studios gets a bad rap because it can be nerve-wracking not knowing who your photographer is, or how good the photos will be. But, if you 1) aren't particular about photography, and 2) know exactly what kind of shots you want, WeddingBug will get the job done! I was really nervous at first because their business model operates like an agency--they assign you a photographer 2-3 weeks before your event. We got really lucky with our photographer (Stephen White) because he is very experienced, and told us right from the start what kind of schedule we could expect with the amount of pictures that we wanted. This allowed us to adjust our photography schedule appropriately, and on the day of, we even finished EARLY because he was so efficient! Not only that, the photos turned out beautifully!

Bottom Line: If you're not picky with your photos, and you tell your photographer exactly what type of shots you want (ahead of time!), you increase your chances of having photos you're happy with. Is it possible that you'll end up with a complete idiot anyway? Yes. But we ended up paying about $1,100, which included all the raw photos, 7 hours of time, and a physical hardbound album.
