Recently my partner and I purchased a CALA home. We had pleasant experience, staff were patient throughout the journey and the house is fantastic. What really stood out for us was CALA as a brand. They really go the extra mile to make the journey easy for you as a buyer and the build quality is fantastic.The only fault in the buying aspect was the CALA recommended solicitors (Davies & Partners) as this is where we found MANY issues! Definately get an independant solicitor and save yourself the stress. We have previously lived in various new build properties from other "5*" builders but CALA really do deliver. The basic specifications are miles above the other builders and the houses are thoughtfully planned. Even small details that you don't consider important till you need them are included (e.g. Loft/cupboard lights). The site staff are respectful and sub-contractors are of a high standard. So far, it's been smooth to get all the snagging done. We haven't had to use the customer care team yet.I'm sure we will be very happy in our lovely new home for many years to come. Always helpful and cheery (I am not the easiest customer ). They have answered all my questions, accommodated visits and chased things for me. I am pleased they have helped me throughout the process.I should note, however, that if I was basing my review on Head Office and CALA legals I would not be giving the same rating. The missives took an inordinate amount of time to issue and to conclude. Perhaps expectations should be better set.
