What a great job your website design has done for our Allotment.
“Whipton Lane Allotments (WLAA) signed a 10 year lease with Exeter City Council to manage the allotments site on behalf of all the plotholders.
It was agreed very early on that a website and social medial presence would assist enormously with communicating with existing plotholders, and to reach out to potential new plotholders.
Whilst we had some ideas about content, we had no experience of building a new website. Following a procurement process, Web Design and SEO Company were selected to design, develop and implement the first phase of the website. The initial design by Diana exceeded our expectations, and the whole process has been trouble-free, with great two-way communication throughout.
Our website is now live with social media links, and we are already looking at phase 2 with Web Design and SEO Company. Our confidence in their expertise and professional but friendly approach will see our website “grow to maturity and bear fruit in no time at all!” ”

What makes a great website?
We believe that a great website helps you win new business and provides valuable, easy to find information and services for your existing customers.
A great website must look fantastic and must be both fully responsive and mobile-friendly. This means that it must automatically resize to work on a tablet and a smartphone as well as a desktop / laptop. It must be easy to use on a mobile device - with clickable phone numbers, for example.
A great website must be optimised for search, so that it can be as high as possible in google and the other search engine's natural search listings.
A great website should be secure & safe for its users and for our client. It should have great uptime - i.e. have completely reliable hosting. It should also come with good customer support and user training (where applicable).
And finally, a great website must be future-proof and able to grow and develop as your business grows and changes.

Describe your creative process.
For a new website:
Step 1: You provide the brief, the domain name (if you have one or we can register one for you), hosting details, the copy, a logo (if you have one) and all images you wish us to use
Step 2: Based on your brief, we create a design concept. We will tweak this until you are completely happy with it
Step 3: We input the copy, images etc & test it carefully
Step 4: We hand the website over to you for User Acceptance Testing. You check it & advise if anything is not correct. We fix & you retest & sign-off.
Step 5: The website goes live
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Domain name / hosting information (or we can sort this for you)
A brief for your website – its objectives, target audience, design ideas, colours you like / don’t like, websites you like etc.
A high quality logo image if you have a logo. If not – the business name & strapline (if you have one) that you wish to be displayed at the top of the website. (We can design logos, if required.)
Copy and images for all pages. We can source stock images for you and write copy for you as an extra service.
Contact details (Name, address, postcode, tel nos, email address etc) – please tell us if you need a Google Map to be displayed on the Contact Us page.
