Mariann is an awesome trainer. Our dog Prince was extremely reactive to dogs when on a walk. He would lunge, scream and act completely insane when he saw another dog, especially a small dog. Prince was with Mariann for a little over 3 weeks and he walks beautifully on the leash and his reactivity has significantly improved. I won a free session for my dog thanks to TNR Passaic and We Are One K9 Training, and it was so amazing! The trainer was so kind, patient, wise, and lovely to us. First the trainer analyzed the things that my dog struggle to learn or have to be reinforced, and then she explained to me what she’s going to do with my dog in a such nice and understanding way then she started teaching my dog. My dog was able to catch all things what she taught him. The trainer took her time to teach not rushed and she even gave me a collar for my dog, and allowed me to practice with him all the things that she taught him. I’m so happy that we were able to do this without frustration or angriness but with enthusiasm and happiness. That is why I highly recommend WAOK9 Training!!! More...

What do you love most about your job?
I get to do what I'm passionate about the most: helping struggling dog owners live a happy & balanced life with their beloved dogs. I get to show them how amazing their dogs truly are and how to maintain a healthy relationship with them in order to enjoy life together.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I see way too many dogs on the end of the leash barking, pulling, lunging, zig-zagging which indicates an unhealthy state of mind.
I see way too many dog owners struggling out there not knowing how to stop any unwanted behavior and how to ENJOY 100% spending time with their dogs.
I've heard way too many times that "my dog is great, BUT..." and it turns out that their dog is anything but great!
So I'm here to help those who are willing to change and put the work in it. Dog training is a lifestyle and happens around the clock, you like it or not. You decide if you want to keep struggling or want to finally enjoy life with your dog.

WAOK9 proudly keeps the number of board & train dogs on the minimum (max. 2-3 dogs at a time) in order to give undivided attention to each and every dog. Your dog will live with us, meet and socialize other balanced dogs in a safe environment. We take our trainees to adventures such as hikes and pet friendly stores to expose and train them in different real life situations. We proof our dogs off-leash as well.
We also educate dog owners how to advocate for their dogs as well as how to keep their dogs happy and balanced.
There is a lifetime support and exclusive boarding opportunity available for our trainees ONLY. We don't mix untrained dogs with trained ones and we keep up with your dog's training while you're away.
3-Week Board & Train | $2500
Off leash basic obedience training for dogs with no or mild behavior issues. We address: jumping, leash pulling, counter surfing, "selective hearing", etc. Details on the website. Price includes all tools, daily social media updates, and owners' hands on training sessions.
Virtual Puppy/Dog Training | $50/hour
This is a great option to learn all the basics that come with new puppies or dogs such as crate and potty training, how to use food for successful training, introducing then using leash pressure to puppies/dogs so they can learn a nice loose leash walk, engagement building exercises, and of course age appropriate basic obedience and other useful commands and marker words: Yes, No, Good, Sit, Down, Place, Kennel, Come, Out.
