Ann & Jim were fantastic hosts and the Old Manor was very pretty, comfortable and we had 2 great nights sleep. The room looked out to the front and had coffee facilities, comfy bed, bath and shower. Full English breakfast was very tasty. The area around Somercotes is beautiful and we were lucky to have wonderful weather. Ann & Jim were very helpful in advising us of places to visit. Ann and Jim were really nice and their breakfasts were really good with local produce it tasted good. They also told us some nice places to go and they were right (like going up the church spire) . Ann has taught my children (1 now in year 5, 1 in year 8) for the past 2 years. They have gained confidence and the understanding they needed, in this difficult subject, to achieve and excel.
Recently, due with the current school closures, they are also being taught English in line with their curriculum. A much needed help.
