my husband and I just wanted a quick getaway last weekend so we booked a vault room at Water Street Inn for a Sunday night. I love being greeted by fresh cookies at the front desk. We got an actual key to our room (when did that last happen?) and were very pleased with the size and coziness of our room. There are some signs of wear - wallpaper in a bathroom is never a good idea - just too damp - and other small things that need a bit of care but that is true for every hotel room to be honest, but the room was very clean, the fireplace lovely, the bed quite comfortable and SO quiet! The complimentary breakfast (or as we did it, $5.00 off a more expensive breakfast) in the pub that is in the Inn was extremely generous in the serving size and delicious. We would not hesitate to stay at the Water Street Inn again. More...

We stayed here for a weekend and knew it was more expensive than during the week , but we had a wedding on a riverboat on the St. Croix .||The hotel was built in the late1800's and was victorian in decor throughout the hotel. we had a 3rd floor room with a fireplace and a jacuzzi, which we didnt use. Room was large and the balcony was small but had 2 chairs and a table and the view of the river, the lift bridge and the boats on the river was beautiful. There is a Irish Pub on main floor which we ate at a couple times. Service was good and food we had was good. Weekend there is Irish band and fun music. Other than cost of staying was ||expensive.... we had good service...good, food and you are close to town and can walk the everywhere. People in town and very friendly, which was nice and fun to shop the stores. More...

The location is perfect. You can walk to anyplace downtown and the hotel is in the middle of all the attraction. You are able to look at the river and the beautiful historic lift bridge when you wake up in the mornings!

It was a perfect stay at The water street inn, we really enjoyed it. Everything was perfect! We felt amazingly confortable in the bed, the down and the pillows were fluffy.
