I've been buying fresh beans directly from local coffee roasters for years, always trying to brew the best coffee I can at home. I've bought beans in different cities, states, and countries. And this place tops them all. Something about the beans they select and how they roast them is different from anywhere else. I've gotten fascinating flavors in a cup of coffee that I didn't realize were possible. Each time I go back I have to try something new for a whole different experience. Not only are their beans top-shelf, they seriously know how to make an espresso drink. If you are a coffee lover, this place has got something for you. More...

Picture it: Ogden on Sunday, warm weather, relaxing stroll around the botanical garden, and then the BEST part was meeting the adorable Corgie that runs this joint. The staff along with their adorable greeter were super friendly, and accommodating.  I had the Rawanda brewed with the french press. Let's just take a moment, little bit of background on my part: I'm a former barista, and my current calling is in a hospital (working nightshift), coffee could be my middle name ;) ok... back to the heaven in a cup that was the Rawanda ... absolutely smooth, had a nice flowery almost sweet taste without any additions. By far the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. I love that there is such style, and variety in this small roastery! Certainly can't wait to to come back on my next visit to the Northern Salt Lake area. Certainly worth the drive!!! More...

Soft, smooth, subtle, gentle, coffee. I’ve been in Ogden working with a friend for the last month and I’ve been hitting as many coffee shops as I can while I’ve been here, and I can’t believe the flavor of this coffee. I don’t know what they do, or how they do it, but it’s so nice. I’ll go to a different coffee shop in the morning, and then I’ll have to come here after just to make up for the bad decision of going to another coffee shop. Thank you Wasatch Roasting Co. It’s been a pleasure meeting you. More...

Solid shop, kind of seems like they're trying a little too hard to be hipster. But they're certainly doing it well.Friendly service, high end roasts, and a polished atmosphere. A more global complaint of mine with trendy coffee roasters is their fear of dark roasts, fruity is fine (which they deliver and it is tasty) but a little more dark flavor goes particularly well in espresso drinks, in my "expert" opinion. Great espresso drinks! Creative blends! Quaint little shop. For my daily Starbucks drinkers: this is a European-style coffee shop. Macchiato is in one size - the way it's supposed to be. No unnecessary syrups... the only sugar added is the lactose from the whole milk blend (unless you're here for the mocha or affogato). If you like coffee overroasted, bitter, and filled with processed syrups and sweeteners, keep on lookin' elsewhere ;-)We had 2 terrific cortados and a tasty, aged sample of the nitro. Espresso blend was a little fruity for my preference (I prefer nuttier chocolate full-bodied notes), but was perfectly grinded and masterfully mixed with the milk, leaving no ground trails behind. Coffee is roasted and grinded on site. It shows from the freshness of the drink. Merchandise is locally sourced, supporting local businesses. I would definitely recommend. More...

It's tough to be in a town where everything pretty much closes on Sunday.  It must be a Mormon thing I guess. That said I did find a little gem of  a roastery near where I was staying.  It's located right in the center of Washington and 24th and they serve up all things coffee.  I was impressed by all the kinds of coffee they sell or Brew up for you.  They as ctally have 5 manual brews they do here- drip, pourover, aeropress French press and chemex.  They also serve up a cold brew on tap or in cans to take out.  The atmosphere is very chill with cool tunes playing in the background that is not over bearing so you can relax or do some work.  They also sell some local artworks.  When I was there they were displaying fun little pieces of each of the United States with a montage of each of heir national parks.  There is also an interesting murals to look on the side of the building and alley way.  They only serve a handful of items to eat. Apples and bananas and some baked goods made locally by lavender kitchen and they are all vegan.  I tried their latte with almond milk and an apple cinnamon muffin.  All were very tasty and the coffee was make perfectly.  I also tried a aeropress of expresso which was great.  Overall if your looking for a good brew in town with a nice atmosphere to chill this is a good bet. Oh and don't forget to x in to get 10% off.. More...

After leaving Ogden to move to Seattle, I was sure that there could be nothing to meet up with my extremely high coffee expectations when I came back to visit. Fortunately, I was very wrong. Wasatch has outdone itself by breaking out of the Starbucks mold, allowing coffee to shine rather than an abundance of awful syrups and frankly offensive blended drinks that saturate the downtown market. Their pourovers are fantastic and truly a testament to how well their baristas are trained. I've yet to have any milk based drinks, but I hope to rectify that in the future. My only gripe is how low their prices are. I understand that things are different in the area compared to large cities, but for how fantastic this establishment is they deserve to have their prices mirror their quality. I'm excited to come back soon! More...

Their nitro cold brew is to die for. And the atmosphere is nice. Wish they were more family friendly and offered a couple drinks that were kid friendly, but I don't think that's a crowd they are trying to cater to. More of a place for die hard coffee lovers. The first thing I do when visiting a new city is create a list of local coffee shops. This place was on my list and didn't disappoint. The inside was trendy with a chill vibe. The barista was knowledgeable and wasnt stuck up like some tend to be. Their menu is straight forward with no bells and whistles. I enjoyed their coldbrew and added house made syrup. What a cute little gem of a coffee shop in Ogden! Decor is minimalist farm modern. Atmosphere is convivial and welcoming but cool and laid back. Their cranberry scone was huge! Great little roasting company! Super trendy and hip vibe inside.  It was my first time in and I ordered an iced Americano (my go-to summer beverage), but the guy convinced me to try their nitro cold brew.  16 oz cold brew ran me a bit more than $4 which is totally fair pricing.  The cold brew was definitely one of the better cold brews I've ever had... maybe even the best.  Strong/flavorful, not bitter, a little sweet, and perfectly cold without adding ice.  I actually don't love the sweetness that most cold brews have, so I probably would've preferred my iced americano BUT I was still impressed!  I drank half then and drank half later in the day... I stayed a fan the entire time.  This is a great little addition to Ogden's coffee scene! More...

Visited with my son - you go for the coffee.  We each enjoyed cortados there, and then regulars to go.  Type of place that proves SBX is just acceptable, and there are many steps up from there. The coffee was smooth, but complex in flavor.  Exceptional actually. So why not 5.... they could use a little better food selection. Ours was just OK, and being staffed by a single person, very quickly develops slow service - making coffee takes time, so then you are not able to service customers.  -- Really I would like to give a 4.5... This is the best coffee I've ever had that I didn't make myself, and it's better than I make for myself most mornings because the baristas clearly have more patience than I. Love that they offered Chemex-brewed, which is what I make at home. The only thing that would improve the experience is more food options at breakfast-but don't do it if it would detract from that perfect coffee! Good value too, as they gave me a pot, not just a mug, of coffee (see pics). Thanks, Wasatch Roasting Company, for being a highlight of my business trip to Ogden and adding peace and pleasure to my mornings. More...

It took a little too long to get my coffee to me on my first visit, but my guts tell me this was not the norm. The guy who runs the joint is from a bit farther east and wants to bring more light roasting to the area. I say bring it on. It was a welcome change to walk into a UT coffee shop and catch the scent of a roaster and to taste a pour-over that had notes of fruit and chocolate.Great product quality, but I'd like to visit a few more times to really get a lay of the land flavor-wise. I have no doubt WRC will continue to improve as they become more well-known in the area.Mostly street parking, but you can use the lot behind Lucky Slice, which is across the street.Definitely more of an artisan feel to WRC, so if you're in a rush to get to work (like I was on my first visit) consider coming back when you've got a break so you can really enjoy the experience. Decor and "feel" is hipstery, but that's okay from time to time. WRC is somewhere I'd be most likely to haunt on a Saturday, when I can stay for a while, enjoy the aesthetic, and get some reading and writing done.Looking forward to visiting twice, thrice, and so on. Was visiting Ogden and stopped in for some tea. Noticed that there were many more coffee options and they seemed to specialize in coffee -- they roast their beans in-house -- so I went for the coffee. Had a delicious cup of hot coffee from Ethiopia. Owner was in the store and asked what I thought. I told him I don't usually drink coffee but that it was delicious. He then offered me a free sample of their cold brew. It was incredible. Even better than the hot coffee. Really nice people, cute/trendy decor, and delicious drinks. Highly recommend! Reminded me of a place I'd see in my home city of San Francisco.

I'm so glad this little roasting company opened up in Ogden. The coffee is really good and fresh. They have a good variety and are happy to educate their customers about anything and everything that goes into the coffee roasting process. They roast in the same building that the coffee shop is in which means it smells heavenly on roasting day. Very bright clean and comfortable with some cool design elements going on. Good place to hang out and people watch or meet up with a friend. They sell fresh roasted beans in 8oz bags for about $10 a piece. The bags are hand notated with the bean, the process, and the roasting date. I also had a very good cappuccino here. They had a few baked goods that looked nice but I didn't try any and I forgot to ask where they're from. I think I've found my new coffee spot. More...

I went to the soft opening of this place last week. This place is super rad!! The only place I know of around here that roast their own beans! Super great coffee, reasonably priced and way cool remodel of an old building. Great customer service. Only complaint is I work graveyards and wish they were open a tad later so I could grab a cup before work More...
