During the National's postseason run to a Championship I came to Walter's to watch the a few of the games. I was very impressed with the Tap Wall! Lots of beer choices. And the fact that every TV was showing the Nationals game was a plus as well. I had not ate here so I did not post a review. After the Nationals championship parade my wife and I came here for dinner. We both ordered the Cheeseburger with French fries. The food came out quick considering how busy this place was. And the food was hot! The quality of the burger was amazing and the fries were of the thick steak fry variety which I prefer.  Great job guys! You hit it out of the park this postseason! More...

Went here for the first time last night to watch the Nats game and had a great time! Environment: The atmosphere is perfect for sports fans with the large number of tvs there. We put our name down for a table not expecting it to happen given that it was a packed house. Low and behold, about 15 minutes later we were called to a table. It was a decent spot. However, although there are a ton of tvs, they aren't all positioned ideally depedning on where you are sitting. However, we adjusted and made it work. Service: We waited for awhile and nobody came so I flagged down a server that was helping tables nearby. She said a different server had our table, but she had no problem taking it over and being our server for the night. I'm glad she did because she was great! (I believe her name was Evonne, but not sure of spelling) As crazy busy as the night was, she stayed on point. So no issues once we had a solidified server & a very nice one at that! Food: We ordered old bay and buffalo wings. It seems as though the wings are probably grilled or baked then flash fried. They were meaty and tasty. I personally am not a huge fan of grilled wings so probably wouldn't get them again, but the flavor was there so no complaint. The fries were delicious and seasoned well. Another member ordered the chicken sandwich, which was very big. Based on our server's recommendation, we also got funnel cake fries and she was on point with that recommendation! They were soo good! They come with a chocolate sauce and caramel sauce for dipping. Drinks: The drink pours for something straight wasn't the greatest. The mixed drink they made for a member of our party was delicious. The drink prices were actually good for DC, which we found surprising. A couple folks tried the beer wall. It's a cool concept, but wasn't something they wanted to keep doing throughout the night and was a bit pricey for beer. All in all, I would return. More...

The atmosphere and locality, energy of the crowd, delectable eats & drinks, great customer service and numerous screens to watch the game. We plan to definitely go again but next time take friends!! I highly recommend Walter’s Sports Bar and do so without any hesitation, reluctance or reservation! The service, the food, and the overall atmosphere were all magnificent. And let me mention the food again. It’s the best ‘bar food’ I’ve ever had. More akin to fine dining. I’ve been on 3 or 4 occasions and now I’m hooked. The service is stellar. The bartenders are warm and personable yet are masters of their craft It is what sports bars should be. There are many places that masquerade as ‘sports bars.’ Walter’s is the real thing. Every inch of the walls has a tv. You have a great view of your sport of choice from anywhere in the bar. I defy you to find a square foot area where you can’t see a screen. The cherry on top is that because of the philanthropy of the owner, you’ll be supporting the college aspirations of local disadvantaged kids. More...

I like that they have a lot of TVs too so you can watch sports etc. ..outdoor seating with umbrellas is a plus.We ordered the cheeseburger, buffalo Walters wings and potato munchers. All were good..but highly recommend the potato munchers.Only con is the service- I have gone here a few times and they are kinda slow or don't have enough staff. There is also not ever a person at the front check-in counter so you have to wander to find someone to seat you. More...

My wife and I had a great experience at your bar. We went in with low expectations for the food; nothing on your place, we're just used to mediocre food at most sports bars. I have to say though, the food was really really good. We had the wings, pork belly appetizer, and split a smash burger. Everything was on point, especially the pork belly which was probably the best pork belly dish I've ever had. We stayed for the Nats game; unfortunately we blew the lead and gave up the L in the bottom of the 9th. While the experience was overall extremely positive, I have a few items of critique. One, the music was way too loud and the playlist was honestly pretty lame. Two, need more NE style hazy IPAs. Three, the self pour beer wall is too gimmicky for me personally and would just prefer more draft options at the bar. Anyways, we loved the spot and will definitely be coming back soon. More...

I decided to try Walters because I live across the street from it. A neighbor had said great things about their pork belly bites so I decided to give them a try. The vibe is definitely a sports bar, tons of TVs including a huge one, which makes me sad I didn't just walk across the street to watch the World Cup finals. The draft beer concepts very interesting, there are taps along the wall and you can pour your own. There are also a few select cocktails and a small variety of wines by the glass. They also have a decent selection of whiskeyWalters has a happy hour from 4-7 PM that seems to just be a few discounted drinks although I'm unsure as I got here after happy hour.  I ordered the aforementioned pork belly bites and they were great! The fat is perfectly rendered so no gross bits of chewy fat, it has a nice soy sesame glaze which adds some sweetness to cut the fattiness of the pork and is served with a red cabbage slaw that is a vinegar slaw with a tiny bit of heat. I sat at the bar and it wasn't very busy. The service was fast and efficient and I never had my water sit empty for more than a minute before it was refilled without my asking. Also, right now (I don't know how long this will last) if you get on their email list you get a free appetizer once a month that's good for the first 10 days of the month and it's any appetizer on the menu!Great new addition to Navy Yard! Very different experiences- don't think they've figured out the big crowd thing - we ordered food and it never came 40 min later. They have a beer wall that's pretty unique -pay by the ounce and pour your own.  Solid suggestion including local breweries. The second time was much better - friendly service, wings came quickly and were good. Fries were one of the best in DC! Tons of tvs, they're still learning, just need to figure it how to better serve crowds if you're going to be located across from Nats park and Audi Field. I'm optimistic. More...

Great daytime spot! Just across the street from Nats Park, parking can be tough (plan for it). Definitely worth the effort though. Since it wasnt too crowded, I didn't try the self-service beer taps. I bet that's a great option on crowded fans days though. The bartender Lauren had several bar customers and a full booth, but was quick with friendly service and never left us waiting for drinks. Kudos to her on the great food recommendations too. There were several of us, so we decided to go with a bunch of apps to share: Pork Belly Bites, Potato Munchers, and Chips. Yum, yum, yum. The Pork Belly was tender and crispy (I hogged all the delicious side slaw for myself). The Potato Munchers were everyone's favorite (pro tip - ask for extra dipping sauce). The homemade chips & dip were delish, too.Not disappointed, I'll definitely go back! More...
