About Walshaw Fitness
I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer with years of experience.
I have worked in Public Leisure Clubs, Private Spas and Health Retreats.
With attention to detail and a professional approach to my work at the forefront I have implemented hundreds of training programmes for people to achieve their goals.
I always emphasise the point that the training is a two way thing, and requires commitment and dedication from the client as well as from me.
I tailor training programs specifically for each client and aim to build a foundation for future progression and independence from needing a Personal Trainer!

With my personal fitness I started doing the usual weight training and general fitness training. Over the years I have moved away from pushing big weights and I now have a passion for hill walking and mountain climbing. This takes up most of my free time and I really enjoy the challenge of all that goes with it. I get out as much as possible and have enjoyed hikes in the French Pyrenees, French and Swiss Alps and the Brecon Beacons.
I studied at Chichester College in 2001-2002 (accreditation number for full qualification: 100/1075/0) where I gained a Diploma in:
Lifestyle Analysis, Personal Training, Medical Referral, Nutrition, Fitness Assessment, Client Study
I continued my training in 1on1 Personal Training and passed with merit.
I then went on to study Exercise Fitness and Health and Business Studies at Cheltenham & Gloucester University.

Patience and Perseverance!
Goals need to be set in an achievable and realistic time frame. Lifestyle needs to be looked at and changed if necessary in order to maintain long term results.
The age old saying "you are what you eat" can not be further from the truth, nutrition is one of the key factors in getting the body of your dreams.
What do you love most about your job?
Helping people get results, personal satisfaction when someone can see that the hard work time and commitment is paying off!
The improvements in the aspects of the training program, through strength, flexibility, weight loss and a new found motivation from the client.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked in the public and private sector for many years, starting my own business was the natural progression from having been the manager at a Health Club.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have years of experience and have successfully trained Clients of all different shapes, sizes and abilities.
The ultimate goal for me is to get the client to a position whereby they are motivated and knowledgeable enough not to need a trainer.

Consultation, Fitness Testing and Training Program £50.00 This is a one to one meeting to discuss client requirements and goals. The consultation takes between 1.5-2 hours and a Training Program is established based on client fitness levels and goals. Once the consultation is finished I go and work through the data I have collected and get back to the client with the results. One to one Training £30.00 per hour This is aimed at clients who need the initial motivation to exercise! Once you have made the lifestyle change you will be well on your way to doing it yourself with only a little help from me! I offer discounts on block bookings. Online/Distance Training £100.00 per month This form of Training is aimed at the more motivated clients with some exercise experience. The programs are tailored to each client like the one to one training however a self motivated approach is required from the client to achieve their goals.
