If you don't want to be ripped off and get delayed with your work, please avoid using this person/business. You will get 50% of the work completed, then never turn up, never answer phone, he will come and do the rest of the work when it suits him, obviously missing the point that he is being employed by you to do some work at your own timescales, but you will be at his mercy in the end. Started a complete rewiring (changing sockets and lights during a refurbish work) job, completed the first fix 2 months back, after 2 months, he has offered to walk away when you ask him to complete the job ASAP or give me a date when he can complete the job, so I can get back to my normal life. Shankar, I have delayed responding to your review in order to reply calmly to point out several discrepancies in your version of events. I really am disappointed that you feel it necessary to leave a review of this nature when I was unable to attend your property on Monday. Firstly, when I started your project in March, all you requested was that I replace the existing sockets & switches, add 50 downlighters, some extra sockets and some data cabling. However, in the second week of the refurbishment, you instructed your builders to take out all the first floor stud walls to reconfigure the layout. Next the staircase came out, then the kitchen, then the ground floor ceilings. Your review makes no mention of the 8 weeks of extensive internal building work which followed these decisions. I have been back & forth over that period rewiring as the new internal structure took shape. I can only move as fast as the building trades which precede me. On Monday I was with another customer who had very kindly postponed her scheduled electrical work on the previous Friday to enable me to attend your project. I informed you by text that I was needed there. When you tried to call me, I was in a meeting with my customer and her kitchen fitter, my phone set on silent to avoid interruption. I try to be fair & even minded with all my customers & as I had already inconvenienced her on the Friday, I felt duty bound to bring her project back up to speed as soon as possible. All you had to do was wait 24 hours. You have not been without power or lighting, as I have maintained temporary supplies for you throughout the building works. Major construction projects can often be frustrating, I understand that, but to vent your anger at me for your project running late is wholly disproportionate.
