Took my Seat in for a Wheel Alignment today, great service & friendly staff. Steering was very slightly off 1st time round which was more down to my vehicle than bad workmanship but all to happy to alter later on in the day. I went for my VW's first service instead of paying through the nose at the dealership. The staff are all very friendly were happy to explain things to me and other customers. If you don’t mind forgoing the fancy waiting room of the dealership then this place will keep your service costs down and I even had a cup of tea while I waited. See you next time VM! More...

Needed a repaired comfort control module programmed and fitted to my 2003 vw transporter thought I would have to go to main dealer who would want to fit new part £400+vat +120+vat for programming plus labour my local garage couldn’t do it then a friend put me onto volksmaster took the van to them at 830am got a call at 10am job done cost £116 saved a fortune excellent service highly recommended

I could feel my Octavia 1.9 TDI's clutch was on its way out (206k miles!) when going uphill and driving in 1st and 2nd. Volksmaster were one of only two independent VAG specialists in the Manchester area to get back to me following requesting a price online. Whether the others don't care about 16 year old cars or have full diaries I don't know. Volksmaster offered me a date at their Bury branch to fit in around my work schedule, I took it there for late morning and got tram back home to Manchester (easier for me than Oldham). I was quite prepared for them to have to keep the car overnight, but they did everything possible to have it ready at closing time. They road-tested my car before diving in to the work, just in case my diagnosis was incorrect (sadly not!) and showed me the original clutch when I collected the car. The service manager also offered me advice on my sump plug which I was aware of, being a "car person". My tatty car was also washed which was a bonus. I feel I got a job well done for a fair price, and would recommend them to others in a similar situation, bearing in mind how useless franchised dealers are. More...

Without any 'homework', recommendations, nor any particular questions to their efficient Lisa on reception or Ryan, Service Manager, I just accepted with no doubts as to the fairly extensive work required on my vehicle. There was a lot of work needed, most of it unknown to me, but the Inspection report that I had explained to me before I gave them the go-ahead to commence work, needed about 5 seconds thought about the decision to proceed. The weekend fell between the three days that work was carried out, but I had a nippy courtesy car that I hired at a very reasonable rate until my Yeti was ready for collection. Note: Genuine V.A.G. parts are used on repair/service work. I'm so pleased that I saw the Service centre a few weeks ago, just driving by, so local for me too. Even worth you going the extra miles you might, to get your VAG 'Mark' vehicle dealt with here. Can’t get our Volkswagen Passat started in one morning. Called a mobile car mechanic to take a look. Was told that it could be a low compression issue. We were so worried that the repair would cost a fortune. Volksmaster carried out their own diagnosis and concluded that it was a fuel pump problem. I highly recommend this garage.Locally, there are a lot of dodgy garages - Volksmaster on the other hand provide a friendly service for vehicle repairs and MOT at a very reasonable price. Mechanics and the receptionist are all lovely and greet customers on arrival, talking through the work needed and any advisories. Phone calls are always made before work is commenced, with a price. The vehicles are returned as soon as work is completed (i had my car in another garage for 3 weeks for a fan belt change a few years ago) I won’t take my car anywhere else now!Other reviews speak volumes for this company, and they came highly recommended to me by a member of my family.Cheers Volksmaster!
