My coaching experience with Leah has been nothing short of exceptional. Typically I would feel exhausted and deflated at the start of our sessions and leave feeling invincible - armed with direction and defined actions. We began coaching around career aspirations because I lacked clarity and any sense of direction around my future but knew I needed a change. I worked with Leah at VLA50 to figure out what I wanted to do next in my career. I wanted to move away from self-employment and join a team or company. I was definitely burned out in my current roles and my family felt the strain of my disjointed hours. I wasn’t clear on what job to seek out and asked Leah to help me decide on the next direction. Leah helped me to define my boundaries (i.e. no more evenings/weekends, less driving around all day). She encouraged me to consider what salary I wanted and to request it. She gave great tips on networking; I learned how to ask people I already know to establish connections with insiders or managers. Since Leah helped me to define what I wanted out of my next job, I was able to say no to an offer that wasn’t quite the right fit, even though I was tempted to accept just to get started on something new. Ultimately I accepted a full-time job that looks like the perfect fit with a good salary and full benefits package. I am so relieved and shocked that I was able to get my “dream” job. Hiring Leah as a business coach was an outstanding investment for my fitness and nutrition coaching business.
I looked forward to our weekly calls as she kept me on track with the development and marketing of my summer boot camp, as well as other business planning.
It was the second year I held the class but felt considerably more organized this year thanks to Leah's coaching.
Every week Leah emailed me an “actionables” list which, as a solopreneur, I found extremely effective. It's easy to get caught up working “in” your business as opposed to “on” it but Leah kept me on track.
Leah takes an intuitive approach to her business coaching, mirroring her personal training business, and I found this approach aligned very well with my needs.

What do you love most about your job?
I love showing my clients (who are often at a breaking point) how to stop doing what everyone else is doing, and how to change their work environments for the better on their terms. I love helping my clients use their professional power to radically improve their lives. My clients and I enjoy powerful sessions that move them from professional frustration, resignation, fatigue, and defeat to complete confidence in how to be their authentic selves at work and how to get paid well to do that. After working with me, my clients know exactly what they want from their careers, and are ready to break free from the status quo and work exactly the way they want to, with no apologies. Clients who work with me know they want more from their careers are ready to go get it.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My catalyst moment in business came out of feeling trapped. Trapped in an industry I was ready to escape after 25 years in the trenches. I knew I had more impact in me and that I wanted to lead a community on whole new level. I wanted to help individuals create radical professional change which in turn evolves the way we do work on the WHOLE. I was ready to break my own professional box and find and do the work I LOVE as an example so that other people can do the same. I am proof that the professional status quo is no longer our task master.
Why should our clients choose you?
I will hold your feet to the fire fiercely but with a ton of compassion. After all, you wouldn't have found me if you weren't fully ready to change the way you work. You are worthy of work that lights you up, keeps you engaged, changes the world, and feels more like play than a job. The time is now to do things YOUR way.
