What do you love most about your job?
The self reward of finishing a project. I love being a web developer because I love development.
I have done a lot of web development and there are a lot of parts to it. The part that I love is that I can build something and I can see it immediately. I can send it to people. I can show it to people. People can interact with it.
I work in advertising and I love this even more because I build something and when it’s released it’s immediately seen by thousands of people. Something I’m doing is in front of thousands, millions of people.
Now development isn’t the only thing like that. But I like development because it’s about puzzles, fundamentally. It’s not I made something pretty. It’s I solved this interesting problem and now that thing on your screen it works better. Or you are more likely to click it. I get to do what I love puzzles and I get to watch charts showing me what all of you are doing based on what I did. Like I said, that’s cool.
