It's cliche to start the same way as the rest of his reviews, but Mark and his team definitely exceeded my expectations with their photography for our #myfilthywedding day. After completing some research, the solid recommendation was to hope to hire Mark. His editorial style, the vibe, the emotions that emanate through his photographs fit the mood I wanted to set and look back on for years to come. I went into this whole wedding process hiring a photography vendor and came out with a friend, the universe works in mysterious ways, thanks Universe!I made a list of wish list family photos for him and he took those and more. Mark made us (Jeremiah & me, meaning me... my then fiance, now husband Jeremiah is a professional model, professional mma, professional everything... ) feel comfortable in front of the camera. Mark and his team were fantastic to work with for our wedding last September! He was professional and thoughtful from beginning to end. Even before the big day, he went out of his way to set up video chats with my wife and me so he could get a sense of our personalities and what we  envisioned the big day to be like. Throughout those conversations, he never hard sold us on his services because he wanted us to feel comfortable making the decision on our own. As far as the wedding itself, him and his crew worked round the clock to capture every memorable event. The group also worked well with our videographer so throughout the day, transitioning from one venue to the other, the mood and feeling was in unison. Even when unexpected things came up, for example, not having a pre made list of all the relevant family/friends for formal photos, or our initial location for post wedding photos, Mark was calm and was able to improvise and make it work. Lastly - in case you're wondering, the pictures came out amazing based on all the preparation and communication put in prior to the wedding. A picture might say a thousand words, but sometimes it'll leave you speechless. Mark went above and beyond in capturing our special day for us. My husband (who's from the Bay Area) and I got married at SF City Hall last April, and planned to have a super intimate ceremony with just our parents. We live in NYC and were flying back to SF for the courthouse wedding and I was nervous that we were planning everything remotely. Mark reassured us that everything would be great, and he was right. He has amazing energy, is easy to have around, and it shows in his pictures of the day - Mark caught some really special moments that we'll cherish forever. I couldn't be happier with the photos he took at City Hall! He knew the building so well and helped us pick the best area for the lighting at that time of day, so it took a bunch of unknowns and uncertainties out of the equation. Even though there were other people getting married in the building, he made it seem like no one else was around, and allowed my husband and I to be in the moment. Mark is awesome! It was such a pleasure working with this creative guy right here. He did our engagement photos recently and we loved every moment of it. We had no idea on what to do or how to pose, but he came prepared with a mood board on his phone to help us with that. We felt so comfortable working with him, it felt like we've known him for a long time.  Just from talking with us through text and 1 phone call, he definitely understood what we were looking  for and understood us as a couple. You can see it in his eyes that he just loves photography and shooting, like a kid in a candy store. His dedication to deliver great results  were seen when we received the photos. Not only did it turn out great, we received them the next day! Yes, the next day, although unsual, we were lucky and really appreciative of all the time he put in on editing. The different angles he uses, understanding lighting in various backgrounds, and his creativity is what sets him apart from everyone else. Mark is awesome, he normally shoots models so he's obviously the right choice to shoot us because we're like models except we're not models so he had plenty of tips for us to make us feel like models (I still use one of his tips today haha). Having Mark as our wedding photographer was one of the BEST decisions we made for our special day. He was so professional at every meeting and on the day and he also provided a recommended 'timeline' for our day which we found extremely helpful!It seems like he's always thinking ahead. Mark knows what he needs and wants for the perfect shot, which means more time for the bride and groom to spend with their loved ones and enjoy the day! More...
