I got my hair cut by Kayleigh at Virture last week. She was extremely patient and helpful, as I didn't know exactly what I wanted. She helped me figure out why I was unhappy with how my hair looked naturally curly, and gave me a cut that brought out my natural curl texture and fit my low-maintenance hair care routine. It was a great experience overall, and I love my new cut! I didn't feel pressured to buy any product, but still got great advice about what to use. The salon environment is cool but approachable. I've been hopping around salons and stylists in that area for the past couple years. Finally found one with Virtue and Kayleigh respectively. I booked my appointment with her specifically after taking the time to read the team's bios. Her's focused on listening to her client and wanting to make them happy with their appearance. And Kayleigh followed through and then some. I haven't been so pleased with my hair in years. There were two styles I was divided on and she pointed me in the right direction while customizing it to suit my face. She gave me advice on possible product selections that could help resolve my constant struggle with greasy hair and dry scalp, both Virtue distributed products and other big box store lines. She also took some extra time to input some texture back into my hair since blow drying it has a tendency to hide my waves. I have been coming here for.about a.year. My stylist, Kendra, takes the time to listen and does a terrific cut and gloss. Lovd the products they use and the salon itself has a nice atmosphere. Worth the drive from Westerville!

I love Virtue! Melanie did an incredible job with my perm and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my new curl and style. I am always nervous when I have a new stylist cut my hair but from the moment I walked in the door, Payne made me feel so comfortable and right at home. The salon is stylish and cute and holds a lot of vintage history. Payne took the time to talk about the history behind the salon and explained a little bit about their values and best practices, very intriguing! I highly recommend booking an appointment with him if you appreciate someone taking their time to make sure every inch of your hair is perfected. He did such an amazing job!!! He was very good at letting me know exactly what he was doing, what products he was using, while being professional and very friendly. I love this place and all the people who work there! I purposely choose a different stylist each time and have be so happy with each of them! ANNND none of their products are tested on animals! I had the absolute best experience today! Payne did an amazing job on my hair, and I am beyond grateful for all the time and attention to detail he put into it. After finding out my old stylist at another salon was no longer practicing, I was worried about finding somewhere I would like as much. This place is FANTASTIC. The salon has been completely updated and has all the good vibes. All products are vegan and cruelty free, and smell amazing! So glad I don't have to ask about ingredients, brands, etc... While getting a hair cut. Riley is phenomenal! Could not recommend her enough. She really considered everything when helping me choose my style, from color, to the shape of my face. My reason for a four instead of a five star:The website I used to book my appointment didn't mention that children under a certain age should not come to the salon. It makes sense, and had I known I would not have brought my children, however I did have my husband meet me after work to keep an eye on them. A four year old and a 5 month old. I exclusively nurse and have no family nearby to babysit, so not bringing the baby wasn't an option. I drove over an hour to specifically visit this salon and was met with very rude and side eye glances from multiple staff and clients. I definitely felt very out of place and not comfortable at all. I'm sure my future experiences will be more pleasant, as my baby is older and will be able to stay home on the weekend with his father. More...

It's the little details that really made my experience special. They took my coat, offered me a drink in real glassware (no styrofoam cups here! ), gave me a tour since it was my first time there, massaged my scalp after washing my hair, made sure my hair was wrapped up in a towel instead of hanging down and getting my clothes wet, and overall I just felt very listened to and taken care of. I got exactly what I wanted when it comes to the cut and style of my hair, and the stylist was very helpful in making recommendations when I became a bit indecisive in what to do with my bangs that I've been growing out. They do recommend products, but I never felt like I was dealing with a pushy salesperson. The recommended products actually made sense based on what I told the stylist my typical routine is. And I can feel good about splurging on a haircut here because they are an ethical local business, and everything they use is vegan and cruelty free. Will definitely return. More...

For years I've been going to various salons and getting highlights, only to walk out brassy, orange hair. Recently, Sarah at Virtue Salon helped me figure out that toner lifts color out of my hair--something no other stylist ever took the time to investigate or tell me. Sarah came up with a unique method for me to keep my hair a cool ashy blonde without using a toner, and my hair has never looked better. It's what I've wanted for years. Wonderful place. All of their hair products are vegan, paraben and sulfate free. In the summer time they set out bowls of fresh produce from their garden for the clients to take home. Upon entering, you will be warmly greeted and offered something to drink (water, coffee or tea). There's a cozy little lounge area for you to sit and wait on your stylist. All the stylists are very talented and excellent with working with a client to help them get exactly what they want. You can't go wrong here!
