What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new customers and helping them to create the event of their dreams is definitely the most rewarding part of our job.
Helping new clients decide on items for their wedding, squeezing a tiny tent in to a back garden for a garden party, overcoming challenges of erecting marquees inside, in film studios, it is all great fun.
Our passion for delivering beautiful marquees and accessories to make each occasion unique and bespoke, means that we thrive on each new challenge. Our work is so varied and we have a lovely team.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Vintage Marquees started with just that, two small and very ancient and beautiful tents, purchased from the local scout group for a private party.
They were bought to shelter from forecast rain and on the day the sun shone and we needed the marquees for shade!

wedding planning
We help and advise from the first step right up to the big day.
With over 12 years of experience, we are able to advise and assure clients regarding the whole process and to simplify the planning and organisation to make it manageable.
Party planning
Over the years, we have helped with, and been involved with many many parties, from children's parties for 10 people, to black tie balls for 200. We will talk you through the essentials to plan the event and how to prioritise planning, shopping, invitations, venue hire etc.
Furniture hire

We specialise in rustic plank top tables, both trestle tables and 5'6" round ones.
We have over 600 chairs, many of them vintage wooden ones.
Many vintage garden games such as skittle alleys, coconut shies, hoopla, quoits and more.
We hire rustic paraphernalia such as milk churns, galvanised baths and buckets. wrought iron crooks etc.
Hire for film and advertising
Our vintage marquees are popular for film hire.
The furthest we have travelled is to Corfu for the Durrels!
We have also featured in The Crown, Miss Selfridge, Suffragettes and many more.
Our tents have been used in Country Living magazine, for Cath Kidston, Barbour , VO5 and more
