Sue is an incredibly artistic and creative designer. She really listened to my "wants and needs" and was able to take my vision and make it a reality. Most importantly, when we ran into some issues after completion (not the fault of Vintage, at all) Sue stuck with us, replanting and helping find a solution. Highly recommend her services. More...

We hired Vintage Garden Design to envision and install our front and back yard on a new build. Every aspect needed to be taken care of from a retaining wall, fire pit, sod, trees and plants. Sue is a talented designer and brought an artists eye to our outdoor space. The install was timely, on budget and smooth and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome! More...

Hired Vintage Garden Design to do my annuals (pots and garden). Had a brief consultation with Sue about what colors and styles I liked. Sue and her team arrived at my home with unique and creative design which made me the envy of the Neighborhood! Every day when I walked through my yard I had a sense of pride. The yard became another room in my home. More...

Sue and her crew are an absolute pleasure to work with. We hired Sue to redo our front yard and are so happy with the results. So happy in fact, we are having her back next summer to do the back yard. She is very kind and patient ... she took the time to understand what we really wanted and was very accommodating when we requested a last minute change to the landscaping rock we had chosen. Sue also helped coordinate the concrete work that needed to be completed prior to our new landscaping, which was a huge help. Overall, we are very happy and would not hesitate to recommend Sue and Vintage Garden Design. More...

I had recently bought a house in an older neighbourhood and hired Sue to transform my bland front yard. Sue designed all aspects of the yard, which included a new cement walkway, tiered gardens, and of course all of the plant material.
The yard looks fantastic and I receive compliments from neighbours and people walking by all the time. The effort that Sue and her team put into the job was amazing and I appreciated all the hard work!
I have also had Sue plant my pots on the back patio. I love Sue's creativity with her plant material and her ability to pull it all together! I can depend on Sue to make my yard look amazing!

I have had the pleasure of working Sue and her team on a few very different projects.
Initially I brought Sue into a realestate project where cottage owners required landscape design that met strict “Zeroscaping” guidelines. Sue has a vast understanding of native plants and married that with a creativity that has her properties stand out from the rest. Sue utilized grasses, plants, flowers and trees along with building privacy partitions between cottages to create fun, artful, deliberate and sustainable landscaping with indigenous things that sustain with little maintenance. Stylistically, Sue incorporated community things like canoes and livestock troughs as beautiful planters and areas of interest. She is the landscaper of choice for the community and developer.
Next I brought her in personally to do some work for me. The easy one was to tame my lilac bushes and design a garden space on our front lawn. Her team was always on time, neat, respectful, did great work and kept the yard tidy. Sue had free reign to design and plant a raised bed on the lawn that had killed every tree that had been planted. The space is now filled with a beautiful balance of color, texture, height and interest. Best of all, it has not died (which is only funny because I’ve killed everything there for years). It is just what I needed - low maintenance, pretty and tidy.

The next project was a true labour of love. Sue took in designing the flowers for my wedding. The bouquets, table pieces, and grounds looked amazing. I gave her a few pictures for ideas and her girls did that and more. Sue really cares about her customers and the time she spends getting to understand their likes, taste and vision allows her to do exceed expectations. I will upload photos of both when I have a moment but please ask Sue to show you her portfolio - impressive is an understatement. Thanks VGD and Sue!!!
