I met with 3 other florists before choosing Village Florist for my daughter's wedding. Amanda understood my daughter's vision, gave a detailed proposal and quoted a fair price. She was the only florist that offered to do a free sample centerpiece so we could see how it would look . Amanda accommodated any changes we needed. I cannot begin to tell you how incredible my flowers were! I wanted a very free form, earthy bouquet and Amanda completely got my vision and surpassed my expectations. I showed her a few photos for inspiration and she made me the most beautiful arrangement made with eucalyptus, agonis, roses, white anemones, lotus pods, and more. I have to also mention the GORGEOUS centerpieces that she made; I was against using hydrangeas because my wedding was I the fall and I have always seen them as a spring flower, so for the bulk effect, she went outside the box used the most beautiful ornamental kale! We got so many compliments on our flowers and I simply cannot begin to tell you how easy Amanda was to work with and very accommodating. I could not have had an easier experience with a florist. I’ve been a customer for 6 years (started with them in Lake Grove and followed them to Stony Brook) and I’ve never ever been disappointed by the amazing designs they’ve been sending my girlfriend and specialty pieces for funerals. I didn’t think it was possible but Kimberly created a horseshoe for my good friend’s dad who was an avid player of the game. All the designers are friendly, knowledgeable and extremely creative. I don’t care for ‘cookie cutter’ arrangements, so I let them them do the designing and my girlfriend always loves the arrangements. I would recommend them to everyone looking for a florist. More...

I have been ordering my flowers for my fiancé from this location since they were still in lake grove! Not only are they professional but they are very personable. The lady Amanda and her workers were all very interested in the flowers I picked! I explained the reason I picked them and they all were very happy to help me. I had shown Amanda and her assistants the picture of the floral bouquet I wanted and it matched PERFECTLY:) so happy! This is just one instance of many times I have been here.
