I love to eat at Vida Cantina and celebrate a lot of occasions there with work friends always dining inside. This evening however I was working late and went over for some take out. I walked a good ways there and back in the freezing cold and I was disappointed that my ground beef burrito had no queso when I arrived back at my desk. My corn also had no little crumbles on top of it. I have such high expectations because they are always so good, so I'm not giving them a bad recommendation, just saying they need to step it up on to go orders. My sister took me here for my birthday dinner and a few drinks. We had a lady bartender who was our waitress, she had blonde hair - I cannot remember her name, but she was awesome. She was friendly, told the truth when I asked her questions about drinks and different foods and checked in with us just enough. She even made coffee for a few ladies I was with, which I'm sure doesn't happen often. The food was excellent! I had the fish tacos and they were delicious. Even the chips and salsa at the beginning were phenomenal. The white sangria was great as well. The restrooms were clean as was the restaurant. The decor and atmosphere were awesome and the music was great and just loud/low enough to have a conversation. This is our First visit to this venue after the Elton John concert at the Spectrum Center. Only stopped in not knowing the area and want to say it was the best Southern Hospitality vs Epic Centre hoopla. Sat at bar area with others and became friends with others at the bar. Visiting Charlotte for vacation, of all the places we tried this was by FAR our favorite. Had to come back one last time before heading home. First time trying out this restaurant during a weekend trip to Charlotte. Our server, Jake, was amazing!! He was very polite, attentive, and all around great! They started us off with chips and salsa (salsa was not good) so we ordered the chorizo queso which was delicious. For the entree we both ordered the red Chile chicken quesadilla which comes with 2 sides of your choice. The portions were a nice side as we had leftovers. We dined during lunch time on a Sunday and it was fairly empty but they had football games playing on their TVs all around which was great. I would definitely stop by again! More...

The bartender was nice. She was kind enough to let me use her charger while I sat at her bar. The buffalo chicken taco and the veggie taco were both delicious. Visit 8/31/2019- location is inside the Epic Center. They have outdoor seating. I seen stairs so they might have a second floor. We want around 8 PM and they did have a wait BUT it was not long at all. Maybe the wait was because of the location, it's in the Epic Center, I don't think one place in the Epic Center will be wait free. Especially that time of the night PLUS YOU DONT HAVE TO RSVPFOOD: I had the shrimp quesadilla with rice and beans. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD EVEN THE CHIPS AND SALSA ON THE TABLE!! Nothing was too salty, it was made with a right amount of seasoning. Now the cheese dip (that was free for checking in with Yelp) was not great, it was a little watered down if you ask me, but hey what can I say.
