Was great, room was large and well furnished for a business trip. The bed was comfortable. The only off putting thing was a bad smell of a drain in the bathroom, I had to shut my bathroom door while I slept.

The guest house was simply amazing and comforting from the moment I arrived and I felt welcomed with a sense of belonging. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too difficult. The rooms were lovely, spacious and clean with an elegant touch. The food served in the restaurant was simply superb and a great deal of effort is taken with the presentation, Thanks Duwayne. A beautiful pool centers this lovely accommodation, close to local amenities and shopping malls. I loved the locally sourced coffee brews, impressive to a coffee connoisseur. To owners Pat and John , manager Duwayne and Front of House Melissa and cleaning angels, Lindy and Norma, my heartfelt thanks for the extra 10 miles and more that you all went to, to make a very stressful 8 days a haven of love and support. ||Nothing was too much and the endless laundry that arrived from the hospital and was delivered within 24 hours clean and ready to make Chris, my husband, comfortable. ||Duwayne even found the time to throw in a cooking lesson for me one morning. ||The suite that I was in was very comfortable and I was able to relax and enjoy the pool and garden. ||Breakfast was a treat every morning and I loved the eggs Benedict. The Victoria & Alfred proved to be ideal for us as the 1st night stay of a lengthy tour through Southern Africa after arriving from the US. It is in a quiet and peaceful area, close enough from the airport for a tired couple to drive to, then out for an evening exploring around Shark Rock Pier and then to a fantastic diner at the Ginger restaurant listening to the surf, recommended by The V&A manager, Duwayne, who was extremely helpful in making us feel at ease on a new continent.
