I began tinkering on piano from about age 12. And at secondary school, I became the piano player for sunday worship in the school chapel after teaching myself to play several simple hymns.
I taught myself to play Bass guitar in 1981 and began playing in top-40 and pop cover bands a couple of years later, and then continuously for over a decade (today I still consider myself as primarily a bass player).
I taught myself basic guitar chords and learned to strum along to many simple songs like 'Twist And Shout', 'Let It Be' & 'Blowing In The Wind' etc., on guitar.
I taught myself to play saxophone in 1987 and today this is my favourite instrument to practice (as I've always really loved Jazz music).
I started learning to play the harmonica and can play a few basic gospel tunes, simple Christmas carols, and Beatles pop songs.
I have an in-depth understanding of music theory and am keen to share my knowledge with learners who are currently at beginner or intermediate level, and who are wishing to expand their musical knowledge.
