I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years and love the staff there, from the receptionists to the technicians to the vets. My dog is high maintenance (a miniature pinscher- big personality in a small body!) and requires a patient team and VHAH has been that and beyond! I must recognize Dr. Eve Cheung for her excellent work with my dog and I appreciate her ongoing concerns for Moe. They reach out to me and check in on Moe during his ailments. The staff at VHAH have been extremely helpful and patient while working with my very difficult pup. She had a growth removed from her paw and needs bandage changes every other day. My experience with VHAH for the last few months has been positive for my 3 cats. Now, I can tell how VHAH is trustable. They tried to understand and emphasize the connection I have for my cats, not only focusing on doing just business.

When I first visited them was on 06/13/2017, I needed the 2nd opinion for my second cat’s dental problem. Dr. Molly McCullough explained to me slowly (because I am a foreigner) regarding teeth’s treatment and procedures. She also gave me a quote and it was very x 2 reasonable than other four clinics I have been to.
And also, she was very calm with my concerns. Based on my first time experience with her service, I started to trust her and could believe VHAH will be also good with my pets’ need.
I also met Dr. Cheung for my 3rd cat on 06/21/17 with Ms. April who translated for me more detail. Dr. Cheung is also very trustable, and I felt she was honest with me after she examined my 3rd cat.
I met Dr. Susan on 06/03/17 for my 2nd cat’s dental surgery and on 07/25/17 for my first cat’s abdominal problem. My first cat was 18 years old and I lost her about a month ago. However, I was so impressed VHAH when I took my first cat to Dr. Susan for an emergency. All staff consoled me with their warm words.

The staff here is amazing. They took such good care of Ellenore for 12 years and then took care of me when it was time to say goodbye. They even said a very thoughtful personal card with her paw print.
The doctors will return calls and emails at night or on the weekends. My other dog Oliver loves it here! He gets very excited because everyone pets him and gives him pupperoni. You are treated like family here. I have moved away from Mundelein and still make the drive back so that my pets can have the best treatment possible. More...

I have been coming to Vernon Hill Animal Hospital since my dog Riley was a puppy. Two weeks ago when I picking Riley up from a bath at the groomer I was told that Riley probably had an ear infection since yukky stuff was in one ear. I called VHAH and Riley was seen immediately. Dr. Sneed checked his ear, cleaned out all kinds of stuff then proceeded to check what the yukky stuff was under the microscope in order to know exactly what to give Riley to get rid of the infection. This place is amazing. The staff is a s courteous and helpful as can be. The techs are really gently and compassionate about there work and handling youre pet. All the work and procedures are fully explained and all of youre questions are answered. The Dr's are great and knowledgeable and do great surgery and adtercare. VHAH is absolutely amazing. We've been using their services for over 15 years. Last summer had an incident when our puppy found a ground bees nest and was stung from nose to tail. Even though they weren't open, they answered and were able to see us immediately! They are very knowledge and caring not only to your pets but to you by fully explaining procedures, recovery, and constant care. Every time we stop in they are all excited to see Tilley. And the staff that was there the day she was stung, they remember her every time she come in!!! More...

I recommend this vet to anyone! I'm very new to vhah but I can already tell they care so much about your individual animal. Our puppy kane is almost 2 and hates vets from his bad experiences at our old vet. I was determined to find a good vet that not only took the time to know him but took the time to make him comfortable. They went very slow giving him treats, petting him and talking sweetly to him. He's very shy being at the vet and they made him comfortable. He doesn't like shots in his neck so they made a note to always administer in the rump. They not only care to make sure you understand what they are giving your animal and why but take the time to also make your animal understand they are trying to just help. 5 stars go to Vernon hill animal hospital!!! Dr. Barten is awesome! I bought my Jackson’s chameleon named Jack Straw in because he was closing his eyes and seemed lethargic. Dr. Barten looked over jack and told us he believed jack had vitamin A and a calcium deficiency which is why he was shutting his eyes. He gave us medicine for jack and the next day we saw improvement. Without Dr. Barten Jack Straw would not be back to his normal self. I’m one happy chameleon owner. My family has been using Vernon Hills Animal Hospital for over 17 years. They have seen and takin care of many of my pets over the years and now even have the next generation ,my daughters dog. Sadly lately we had to put a few animals to sleep and their compassion has been unbelievable.

If I could give this hospital a million stars I would. About a year and a half ago I decided to adopt a kitten, Smithers. VHAH has gone above and beyond for my little man . Smithers was having a lot of health issues and quite serious ones. As a first time pet owner I was scared and felt like maybe I hadn't done what I needed to do to protect my cat. Not only did the doctors/techs take exceptional care of my baby, but they also reassured me his health issues were chronic ones we could never have predicted. After visiting the vet so often Smithers has grown to be a very nervous (understatement) traveler/vet attendee. The doctors/techs went above and beyond to help me get him relaxed and aid me in getting him to their office safely. I always get a thorough, honest, and caring answer. I never feel like any stones go unturned. I originally chose VHAH because they were 2 minutes away from where I lived. I've since moved to Hoffman Estates and feel so lucky I was able to choose VHAH as my animal hospital because I just don't think any other would be good enough for my Smithers. I've met 3 of the veterinarians and I always feel confident and comfortable that my cat is in good hands. So, thank you to your entire staff. Dr. Barten and Dr. Cheung who have been through this journey with us. I get emotional a lot when it comes to my cat so thank you for being patient with me. You both don't know how thankful and appreciate I am for your hard work and dedication. The friendly and supportive techs! I can't tell you how nice it is to see such great support to the doctors and animals. You always are so understanding and gentle when my cat is nervous. Dr. Molly McCullough diagnosed my dog correctly, after another vet diagnosed him wrong. Because of this she saved his life. My dog has Blastomycosis, a rarely diagnosed (correctly), often fatal, fungal infection. He may have lost an eye, but I didn’t lose him. I’ll be forever grateful she knew to think fungal. Last year came into owning five (5) guinea pigs... its hard enough finding one vet for guinea pigs, but stumbled a ross VHAH accidentally and finding thry have Three (3) vets thst accommodate guinea pigs! !
