The atmosphere at Veranda is great. There are great amenities and the staff is very helpful. I’d like to mention two people in particular. First, Samara made the leasing and move-in process easy and seamless. Second, Erica called me to tell me I had a few very large packaging ready for pick up at the leasing office and offered to have them delivered directly into my apartment. There is absolutely nothing to complain about and everything to be happy about. The staff always goes above and beyond to help, grounds are well kept, apartments are beautiful, and maintenance is fast 24/7. I like it here a lot, and there are many positive things I could say, but there are a couple of things that I wish could change back to how it was. The trash service is, well, trash. A mandatory fee and requires people to leave their gross garbage outside their door. I don’t understand why Veranda does this. Veranda is a really nice looking complex, but having stinky garbage outside everyone’s doors waiting for pickups is both smelly, unsanitary and very uneasy on the eyes. A lot of people don’t even use it because they don’t want gross trash sitting outside their door and they simply walk the 30 seconds it takes to walk to a trash room. Not sure who came up with that idea, but it’s silly. Another complaint is the new guest parking system. You have to buy guest passes from a third party website. Not only is it lame to have to pay for what used to be free guest parking, but having to purchase the passes online is terribly inconvenient. Another head scratcher policy. Other than that, veranda is great, but I hope they will consider revisiting the two items I mentioned above, as I know I’m not the only one complaining about it. I have been living here for a month now and I am absolutely loving it. We looked at 9 different apartments all over Denver before finally settling here. The lazy river first caught our eye and we wanted to check that out. Mike from the leasing office greeted us when we came in and was super helpful. He asked the right questions, let us know what was available, and gave us a full tour. He was the most down-to-earth person we met out of the 9 different apartment complexes we visited. Leasing agents are supposed to be friendly and blow a lot of smoke, but Mike was real and let us know about problems and the steps that the ownership was taking to fix problems (ie. Elevator, paint). I see Mike all the time now and he greets me like a longtime friend. I feel like a part of the family here and I look forward to making great friends and memories living here. Special shoutout for Winedown Wednesday!Apartments are clean, modern, and simply perfect. Location is also awesome too right off the freeway but not on the main road and near everything like King Soopers, Starbucks, Whole Foods, Target, etc.I just want to add my thoughts about the negative comments: they just recently repainted everything and hallways are bright and clean. Erica and the staff at veranda have really been great. We had a fire in the trash room adjacent to our unit. Nasty water flooded our place pretty bad, this happened at about 11pm! I don't actually live here but one of my best friends does. We love going to hang out at the lazy river and his awesome apartment! He invited us to one of the complex events (Roaring 20's Speakeasy Party) and it was SO much fun! I was worried it would be a bit cheesy, but they seriously did it up right! Free food and drinks, music, dancing and dance lessons, gambling and amazing prizes! And everyone was dressed to the nines! Hoping I'll be invited back for the next event! The Veranda Highpointe was an awesome place to live. If I wasn't moving out of state, I would have renewed my lease. The amenities were awesome, especially in the summer. From all the grills on site, the rooftop and the lazy river/pool are so much fun to have guests over to. The office staff is helpful, from maintenance requests to showing the apartment in the beginning, always responsive and helpful. Specifically Erica Moats and Brittany Ehlers. I didn't ask for much during my time, but when I did need something, both of these ladies were quick to respond and very helpful. My wife and I were "assigned" to Veranda Highpointe as part of a relocation package for my new Corporate job in Denver. We are SO GLAD that they selected this location for us! It was like being on an extended vacation for two months. The apartment was great, the amenities were superb, but it's the service that sets this place apart. The staff at VH were absolutely focused on customer service, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing short of wonderful. Vernada Highpointe is amazing!! Not only are the apartment amenities and epic events unforgettable but the staff. From the minute we moved in they got to know us! Every time we come home they address us by name! They know us and care about us and they do this with all the residents! Erica Moats the community manager is truly the best of the best! She takes every situation small or big seriously. She always addresses everything in a professional and timely matter. She’s knowledgeable and the perfect candidate for a community manager. Coming from NYC to Denver to hunt for a apartment can be pretty daunting. Luckily we did some research before hand and narrowed it down to a good few to look at. At Veranda Highpointe we met Colleen, who took the time to go over everything with us, over and over again ( we had lots of questions) Colleen made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I was in Denver visiting a friend that happens to live at Veranda. I toured the entire place and was very impress by the amenities they offer, namely: different lounges, various courtyards, heated lazy river (the only one in Denver), hot tub, gym, indoor basketball court, free Starbucks coffee/ tea at the main lounge, and etc. ..If you have a lot of friends or family come visit Veranda has a suite king apartment they can stay at for a small price. I moved here about a month ago from Los Angeles so I don't know how it was with previous management, but I can say that I myself am personally enjoying my stay here at Veranda. Before deciding to live here I toured 8 other apartment complexes, and this place was the best in terms of location, price, interior and amenities. I like to take advantage of the free starbucks coffee machine and the gym, which helps offset some of the rental fee, making the cost of living here more appealing with the already decent price. And I also appreciate the helpfulness of all the Veranda staff in making sure I am enjoying my stay.I had to give this a 4/5 because the rug was not really thoroughly cleaned when I moved in. I noticed there was still a lot of lint (most likely from previous renter) and a weird mildew smell at a spot in the living room.
