About

I understand how hard it can be to train your dog

I have found that many dog owners have the same issues and worries about their pets. They may struggle with loose-lead walking, have a dog who barks at other dogs on walks, or worry about leaving them home alone.

We got Ciara in as our rescue dog didn’t like travelling in the car. Ciara was very gentle and patient with our dog and soon showed us how to help our dog settle. I would recommend Ciara and won’t hesitate to call her In again should we have any further issues with our dog. More...

As a rescue dog lacking confidence, Teddy needed help and Ciara came and gave us some very helpful advice and tips to increase his confidence and focus.

It was so beneficial having Ciara come round to our house and work with Tilly. She taught us so much in 1 hour and increased my confidence. Thank you, Venture Dogs!

Dog Training

We are very happy with Ciara’s visit and service. She is very patient and knowledgeable with dogs. We have been using the techniques she taught us on our 10 years old bichon and we definitely seen the improvement straightaway!

Q&As

I love seeing a client have that breakthrough moment with their dog, where suddenly they're surprised and proud and happy all at once. My goal with my business is to help clients fall in love with their dog all over again, whether by teaching their dog new skills or helping them change bad habits.

Services

Do you wish your dog listened to you?
Are you finding it tough to get your dog to stop misbehaving and calm down?

We know how it feels to live with a dog who seems out of control, and you’re certainly not on your own. You may have tried other classes or techniques that haven’t worked. But your dog can learn to listen to you, sit nicely when greeting guests, walk politely on the lead, come when you call, and so much more.

Based in the East Midlands, we offer personalised one to one training in the comfort of your own home, helping you make changes where you need them most. We work with you and your dog as individuals to quickly and effectively tackle anything you want to achieve.

Our training methods are based on years of coaching dog-owners and hands-on experience, as well as the most up-to-date understanding of dog behaviour and learning. We never use force, pain, or fear to train your dog - instead, we’ll show you how to get a dog who loves to learn.

Do you want to give your dog the best head-start in training, but don’t have the time to fit one to one sessions in around your hectic schedule? Our Homeschool program is designed to give you the ultimate convenience, and quickest results.

We will come to your home at a time that suits you and work on your dog’s skills for you, so that they can be learning and improving even if you don't have the time to practice with them yourself.
Homeschool is personalised to you and your dog’s needs, and includes free unlimited email support for 8 weeks following your final appointment, so you have peace of mind if anything changes

We understand that it can be quite distressing when your dog is displaying unwanted behaviour, and can sometimes leave you feeling isolated or hopeless if you are unable to get appropriate help. Our goal is to assess and diagnose your dog’s behaviour, and give you the skills and knowledge you need in order to change it.

The consultation lasts between 2-3 hours, where we take a detailed history for your dog(s), diagnose the reason for their behaviour, and discuss your goals. Within 1 week following the consultation you will receive a full report that explains your dog’s condition, including a comprehensive and personalised training plan so that you can begin implementing changes to support your dog’s recovery.

For dogs with ‘big feelings’ such as hyperactivity, anxiety, aggression, or excessive repetitive behaviour, a behaviour consultation is essential so that the emotions behind their behaviour can be identified and changed.
