We just had my daughter's wedding at Ventura and it was extremely beautiful. Although we had a minor hiccup the day prior for decorations everything was perfect the day of the wedding. Personnel was extremely helpful and amazing. Would highly recommend. Food was delicious!! More...

Go golf here right now!  The staff is super friendly and accommodating, we drove in without a tee time and were able to get on in ten minutes.  Plenty of parking close to the carts so loading/unloading is very easy.  The greens are beautifully maintained, and the course is fun and easy to follow.  The carts are equipped with GPS, which prompt you to order food ahead as you approach the 8th tee, we opted out this time around but next time we are totally trying the food.Being pretty new golfers we stopped in the pro shop after our 9 holes to get a souvenir.  They have plenty of great items available, (shirts, hats, visors, Tervis Tumblers, putter covers...) somewhat left with some total steals off the sale rack.  Especially being summer there are amazingly inexpensive rates depending on the time of day, that you can take advantage of.  Pro Tip(s):  you can book a tee time with yelp!  There's a free app called 18 birdies we use that you can also book a tee time through. Beautiful country club. Full 18 hole course, club house reassurance, out standing pool with plenty of lounge chairs, bring your sun screen it's hot out here! The grounds are kept up very nicely here. This is one of my favorite local courses. Prices are usually very reasonable and the conditions are consistently good (just make sure to ask if they have recently aerated). Unfortunately no GPS or other fancy options, but they have a cart girl and that's  most important anyway. The club house is a decent size with a bar and restaurant with good food. The pro shop is modest but has all your essentials. The course was recently switched around and re-numbered, so it plays in a different order than it did previously. Well, first let's start out with the proper expectations. Ventura is a private community with a lovely golf course and many amenities targeted at the most senior aged residents. There is a very cozy little restaurant and bar called the 19th hole, as per usual at most golf courses, but they have lots of daily dinner specials, and sometimes even live music. The music is geared toward the baby boomer generation with mostly ballads and music from the '60's. It's light and breezy; just slightly louder than the happy chatter of the patrons enjoying one another's company while feasting on the Friday night special - 10oz. Prime Rib for $16.95. This comes with your choice of mashed potatoes, baked potato, or rice with sautéed vegetables, green salad and dinner roll. An awesome deal! The interior of the restaurant is a tad outdated, but homey feeling. If the weather is nice you can sit out on the patio overlooking the green and a nice pond with a fountain. They will serve you out there, but you might have to go in and get their attention first, because it seems most of the diners enjoy being inside with the crowd and the music. Tonight was a little bit breezy so that also could have affected some folks' choice to dine indoors. I did politely ask if there was service on the patio and then someone started coming out to bring menus and check on me. I was in NO HURRY. I don't recommend coming here looking for white coat service. It's chill, laid back and just lovely to enjoy the outdoors and scenery while you sip a drink and appreciate life. More...

Had a great time! Went to visit some friends and chill at the pool. This housing development is VERY secure, we were there for a period of several hours, maybe half a day in total, & there were two diff rounds of security checks at the pool to make sure all the occupants were either residents or guests of accompanied residents. The ambiance and environment is a little 80's, but if you like retro then this is your style. Definitely well kept 80's that's for sure. The service at the restaurant & bar is great and all the other residents were very friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a place to live and would like a near by golf course & pool with an attached restaurant, I would recommend this place for sure. More...

This course provides pretty good value for what it offers. For the most part it is well maintained and the staff is friendly though I've been consistently paired up with others even on very slow days but I believe this may be because of my young age. It has just the right right amount of difficulty for the casual player there are enough bunkers and water hazards to make you think about your shots so if you are starting out and ready to take the next step or looking for a good course to play every other weekend I think this course is the best value in the Orlando area. The one thing that is consistently an issue is drainage being that this is Florida and the course borders a wooded area several holes contain patches of mud. Also the water hazards dry out every so often and don't come back till after a good rain.It does lack a driving range but there is Bad Dog across the street however it has terrible value and due to this in my opinion it is better to just go without a warm up. a very short (5800) course, but well-maintained and challenging.  the par 3's are generally long and hard to hit.  i'd go back again on a day that i don't feel like being beaten up by a longer course.

This place is close to major highways and in-town. Attentive staff and the food is great. The golf course is very well-maintained and affordable. Definitely will come here again.
