We had an "end of the semester" celebration and the food was fantastic as always. The staff treated us with the same friendliness as always and the service was great.

Really enjoyed our meal at Vaso Azzurro. It’s he epitome of a traditional Italian restaurant that has that warm, family feel. Yes it is a little noisy but that can be expected from Italian places. The food was delicious and authentic. We went on a Friday night and there was live music and even one of the employees was singing on the microphone. All the workers were so friendly and charming. We chose Vaso Azzurro as it had vegetarian and particular vegan menu. The serve the bread with olive oil mixed with herbs. Bread was eggless, soft and good. We orderd bruschetta, penne pasta with marinara sauce, pasta sauce is good. We later ordered alfredo sauce penne pasta without eggs. My wife liked that pasta very much. The service was perfect and we enjoyed our meals very much. Since I'm plant-based, I was very happy that they have vegan and vegetarian menus in addition to the regular menu. It's a wonderful location, too, with Parking Lot 1 (a city garage) across the alley behind the restaurant; there's a back entrance you can take so you don't have to walk around. I let the waiter know that we had a show afterward, and we were attended to accordingly. We enjoyed the atmosphere and everything about the experience and will definitely return. More...

Our dinner at Vaso Azzurro was out-standing. When we were seated, the waiter was otherwise occupied so the manager told us about the evening's specials, with great enthusiasm! Although we chose items off the regular menu, he remained engaged. We ordered the small house salad which came pre-divided for us, and was still huge! My husband ordered the lasagna, which he said was good. It came with sauteed vegetables, which I don't recall ever seeing as a side to lasagna, but that was fine as they went home in my to-go box. I ordered the Scallops and Prawns with Risotto, which was amazing; three really large perfectly cooked scallops, three perfectly cooked prawns, and a huge mound of delicious risotto with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. The manager was delighted with my choice, and with our choice of wine :-) Since it was my husband's birthday, he was offered a complimentary dessert of his choice (he chose the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, which was delicious) which was served with a rousing round of Happy Birthday! sung by the entire wait staff; great fun!
