Vanda Scaravelli-inspired yoga

Sophie is an amazing teacher, who works sensitively, intuitively and with utmost respect for her own and her students' body. This is not mainstream, exercise-like Yoga, but an invitation to free your body (and mind) by getting to know it and allowing it to find its own path towards freedom. I particularly like Sophie's hands on approach, drawing on massage as well as her own experience of studying with the main exponents of the Scaravelli approach worldwide. She is also very receptive and generous with her time and advice, which is something that's sadly lacking in the Yoga world as I know it. I would thoroughly recommend her. More...

Sophie is a wonderful teacher. She communicates the essence of this powerful teaching, inspired by Vanda Scaravelli, in an accessible and authentic way. Her intuitive approach asks you to do less which is of course far more difficult than it sounds! But this simple message allows you to feel so much more: the body responds in all its fragility to the kindness and support Sophie offers. It was particularly interesting to me that it was the first yoga class for one of the participants, but Sophie managed effortlessly to communicate the essence of what is actually an advanced form of yoga. We were all held in her space and able to unravel in our own time. I am a teacher and I have attended classes with Diane, Sophy and other teachers inspired by this approach, but Sophie’s teaching has resonated more deeply with me. Sophie is one of the most naturally gifted people I have ever met. Everything about Sophie is very natural and real. Classes are carried out with an open heart and there is always heaps of love and laughter. Her work is all about healing and integration.
