Full service restaurant with private banquet room that can seat up to 100 guests. We are open 7 days a week and the private room is open for Wedding rehearsals, Birthdays, Anniversary Parties, Corporate Events, etc. we have a nice wine and beer list and all our food is scratch made .

We have had some joyful, delicious meals here! Last night, my wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Valeria. Our meal started with an Insalata di mer with scallops shrimp and mussels in herbs and olive oil. Wonderful! For our main course, my wife had the Dore style cod adapted to her food allergies and I had the Melanzine alla Parmigiana. Everything fresh and perfectly cooked. There is an extensive wine list here. The Copper River Salmon was delicious, but an extremely small portion for the money.  Same with the stuffed Valeria chicken drumstick and thigh. No salad or vegetable came with the meals, only minimal condiments to enhance the main entree. Not worth the $100 we paid for our meal.Music from the Sinatra era was delightful.  The paper tablecloth was annoying and ruined the ambiance of an upscale restaurant. Service was exceptional. My boyfriend and I came to town for a nearby race and went to dinner here the night before. The food was outstanding. I had spaghetti and meatballs and he had some pepperoni pizza. We were both thoroughly impressed with the food. They had a live singer singing Frank Sinatra style songs who was marvelous. The atmosphere was great, service was awesome, and we had a wonderful time. If the race comes back next year to this area, we will certainly be eating here again! More...

We had dinner at 0530 on a Thursday. It was quiet and we didn't need reservations, but I bet you do on the weekend because it is small. The food, Chef Keith, the staff, the ambiance were all amazing! I can't wait to go back. My husband and I both had seafood (appetizers: mussels from Bangs Islnd Maine, and oysters from I forget where) and dinners  - and all was supremely fresh. We are spoiled from years of living on Cape Cod with just caught fish, but this was as fresh as anything weve eaten there.)I had the GF Gulf Coast jumbo shrimp with spinach, and the chef made my husuband a linguine with seafood dish that he has been hankering for since we moved to San Antonio 24 years ago. I also had the house salad which had a great olive oil and sherry vinegar dressing, My husband had a glass of Tuscan chardonney (organic, steel finish, not oakd - very clear and light taste). The staff and chef are really friendly and knowledgeable.  The atomosphere was quiet. There were classics playing when we first arrived (Loius Armstrong!) and then a flamenco guitarist and percussionist played live music. What a pleasant surprise!  Located in s boerne tucked behind the Verizon store doors this hidden jewel.    The pasta was homemade as was the bread and sauce.    Everything we tried was outstanding.    It was a slow night by we're weren't "over served", and are extremely happy we found gray Italian food.  They also have pizzas, a nice selection of seafood and steak. We ordered from my town to go and I think the majority of the issues are lack of communication from my town to go regarding unavailable items and substitutions from the restaurant.  They failed to include the salad I ordered and was charged for.  However, the chef contacted me stating they were out of lettuce due to the recent romaine issues which is understandable.  Additionally, turkey  was substituted for chicken in my entree and I don't care for turkey so, while not the restaurant's fault completely, if I had known, I would not have ordered this particular dish.  However, MyTown2Go failed to inform me of either of these issues resulting in my dissatisfaction with my meal.Update: A full refund was offered.  While the food had issues, I updated to 4 stars due to the amazing customer service. My wife had heard rumors of the new restaurant. Typically, when we want fine dining in Boerne, we go to The Creek. Since that place is closed on Mondays, we tried this one. We were not at all disappointed! Their locally sourced food is of both outstanding quality and outstanding preparation. The tiramisu is the best I have ever had, and I'm a 25-year military veteran who has traveled the world. The service by Jacob and Eileen was superb. A wonderful restaurant and outstanding culinary experience, in a most unlikely place, an obscure strip shopping center in a foodie wasteland known as Boerne.The service, the food, and the wine list are amazing.  Seafood Florentine, the gnocchi, the brick oven pizzas, are all highly recommended.  Great ambience, and a lovely relaxed feel.I hope La Valeria thrives and is with us for many years.  It's going to require the tourist trade on the weekends, and local support during the week.  Boerne has failed to support a lot of great venues through the years.  I would love to see something, that isn't burgers and CFS, gain a permanent foothold in our little community.Give La Valeria a try.  You won't be disappointed.Update:  We were recently back on a Sunday night.  Only three tables were occupied, served by one waitress.  I think the chef was alone in the kitchen. Wow! So glad we finally tried this place! Food was delicious & the service was top notch! We had the meatballs to start & they were very tasty! I went for the Lasagna all Valeria and loved it (not your traditional w/red sauce but I actually preferred this style)! Hubby had the Linguini Pescatore and he enjoyed it. We started with the meatballs as an appetizer, they had to have been the best meatballs I've ever had in my life. The lamb wasn't too overpowering in them which I loved. Then I had a pasta, I'm not sure what it's called (very Italian) but it had seared scallops, shrimp and mussels over a white wine tomato sauce it was amazing. The mussels were cooked perfectly and were filled with the delicious white wine sauce. The ambiance is nice and the waitstaff is even better, hilarious I'd even say. I had A dinner special of spaghetti with shellfish that could not have been better! The sauce was freshly made with fresh herbs and garlic, the shellfish were big and fresh, and it had been beautifully plated. The service was excellent, unhurried and gracious. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the place very clean, and it had a perfect selection of unobtrusive music. We are from Houston and came to Boerne TX for a weekend getaway. We came to this restaurant and we didn't expect to get an amazing service. Moses our waiter was amazing! He was patient and attentive and knowledgeable of the menu items. Everything we ordered was great. The food tasted fresh and delicious. We had pizza, key lime tart, chocolate cheesecake and "Mexican cola". Cola is made with organic cane sugar. Also the chef came out and talk to us about the special for tonight and how he is preparing fish. The restaurant also had a talented singer that sounded like Michael Bubble. This is a very nice restaurant with a somewhat formal dining environment. The gentleman that seated and serve me was prompt and courteous. I ordered the veal Francesco which was delicious. Chef knows what he's doing. Order a couple glasses of wine from the short list and they won't disappoint. The pork cheek and some olives for an appetizer, pasta with rabbit for main course, and a delicious lemon ricotta cheesecake for dessert. What a treat!  My family and I went to Valeria for the first time today and had Moses as our waiter.  Their food is fantastic!  The atmosphere is relaxing, even with young children.  Moses was extremely nice and accommodating.  We started with two appetizers:  an Asiago cheese plate and a sautéed mushrooms plate.  Both were outstanding!  The cheese plate came with little cheese triangles, toasted almonds, strawberries, with fig jam and a balsamic glaze.  The mushrooms plate only had mushrooms, but they were spiced to perfection.  The kids had a cheese and tomato pizza.  They had a pizza menu, and Moses said they could also make smaller dishes for kids.I had a chicken crepe, with cheese, mushrooms, and spinach...and it was delicious!!  My husband had butterflied quail with spinach, blue cheese, toasted almonds, and strawberries, with a house vinaigrette.Overall, the food was excellent!  It's a bit pricey, but it's well worth eating there every now and then.  The owner, Keith, tries to source organically when he cans.  He even travels internationally to check out the quality of organic ingredients!!  That's dedication, and it shows by the menu.  I highly recommend eating here. Terrific lunch today. It was my friend's BD. So I told him we'd do it up right. He has the Italian pot roast lunch special. It came with jasmine rice and some sort of potato. He loved it. I had Shrimp Valeria. You can't go wrong with that dish. Delicately fried large shrimp with the tails removed. How great is that?  It too, came with jasmine rice. My friend had the lunch pork chop, bone-in with a potato side. To me, the potato looked like a lasagna. Pretty yummy all around we also tried the yeast rolls. Hot and sprinkled with some finely grated cheese. Just delicious. The lemonade is made with lemon juice and simple sugar. My friend really likes lemonade and refills were free. Cool. While I do miss some of the original food items that were served in the beginning (awesome fried chicken), today's food was terrific. 03/08/18Went to lunch my buddy. Service - 5Food - 5Wine selection - 5Atmosphere- 3If I cared more about atmosphere I'd be knocking it down to a 4, but I really don't.  Once I adjusted to the paneling and hung ceiling the rest of the experience took over and I never looked back.  The servers were true professionals with a great knowledge of the wines and food.  As a vegan I often struggle to find options but this server and chef were happy to accommodate with an off menu pasta primavera that was amazing filled with 7 different veggies.  The mushroom sauté as an appetizer was packed with flavor but the simple goodness of the mushrooms was the star of the show.Order more bread for sopping.  Just do it!! It was 51 years ago that I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and made my way to Lucca in northern Italy for my first job as a chef. What struck me immediately was the fact that what I considered "Italian" food didn't exist in Italy. Yes, there was spaghetti, pizza and the like but the way the dishes were constructed and the flavors were very different.In the U. S. there's an abundance of sauce and cheese and unfortunately the flavor of the other ingredients fade into oblivion. And many times everything tastes the same--the pizza tastes like baked ziti which tastes like lasagna . . . well, you get the picture. In Italy, each ingredient stands on its own yet compliment the others in the dish. Sauce and cheese, for example, are not sloshed and sprinkled with abandon but are used in moderation and this goes for every other ingredient as well. When done correctly, it's a symphony; when done incorrectly, it's a combination of punk rock, heavy metal and atonalism on steroids. In other words, the senses rebel. I'm happy to report that the food at Valeria Ristorante Italiano is indeed a symphony!With two friends I came for dinner last night. Two of us ordered a pizza with sausage and peppers, the other the chicken parmigiana. Nothing fancy but a lot about a restaurant's quality can be discerned through these two dishes. Excellent bread and olive oil were presented to start the meal. And rather than the usual herbs in the oil, a small container of salt on the side--very common in Italy, more common, in fact, than herbs. If you've never tried it, do so; you'll be pleasantly surprised.The pizza prep area and oven are in full view of the restaurant's dining area and we took the opportunity to wander over to watch the pizza chef work his magic. Use of ingredients was judicious; no drowning the dough (which is a featured player in this symphony) with sauce. There was just enough for the flavor of the San Marzano tomatoes to be detected. The sausage is made in house; the flavor of the meat is not muted by the spices but shines through. And the addition of goat cheese imparted its twangy goodness when least expected. The pizza was cooked in a true wood-fired oven and the results were perfect. Chicken parmigiana is one of those dishes that is constantly abused--not here! The chicken was served with diced zucchini and buttered pasta. There was just enough sauce and cheese on the chicken (and only the chicken) to make it interesting, not to dominate. The chicken cutlets themselves were organic and the flavor was delicate; the breading was not too thick or thin and, wonder of wonders, was not soggy on the bottom. The zucchini, which can often be bitter, was bright and fresh and the pasta was perfectly done and drizzled with butter and a hint of garlic. Nothing in this dish screamed "heavy" as is so often the case. It was a delight. (And how did I know how good the dish was? I swiped some of my friend's food--wouldn't you?)One of my friends is a tiramisu lover and although it wasn't on the menu, he asked and luckily it had been served at lunch and some was left. The portion was quite large, enough for the three of us to have just the right amount of sweetness after that wonderful meal. The flavors, like the rest of the meal, melded into a unified whole reflecting, again, a restrained hand in the kitchen.Service here is excellent. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable of the menu, personable, attentive and efficient. Very few servers add to the enjoyment of the meal but this young man certainly did.  One thing that might interest you as it did me. Chef Kuhn took the staff to Rome to experience Italian food in its native habitat. To me, this shows a dedication to food that is quite rare and it certainly is reflected in the food and the service. Excellent service and food!! They are acing the farm to table concept and dining here is a fresh of breath of air! My boyfriend and I stumbled across this while on a weekend trip and were extremely surprised by this hidden little gem. We ordered the meatballs (fantastic), pork chop entree and shrimp fettuccine pasta and everything was delicious. Although the pork chop had to be recooked and brought back out to our table, the server and manager/owner were extremely proactive and attentive in getting the dish out cooked right and promptly to us. As a customer and former server, I can appreciate excellent customer service like the one we received while dining with them. The white cream based sauce in the pasta dish that I had was exquisite and by far the best Alfredo-like sauce I've ever had in my life. For dessert, we also tried the chef's mother's famous chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream and it was the perfect ending to a great meal. If you we lived in town or closer we would definitely return soon but I do hope we have the opportunity to do so at some point in the future! More...

I'm not sure where to start. The atmosphere was great. Service was wonderful and the food - DELICIOUS!  I enjoyed the ravioli with a lemon/mint sauce. So light so good. My sons enjoyed items from the Restaurant Week menu.  Their choices included the meatballs appetizer , lasagna, chicken crepe, and the pork cheeks. They said each course was better than the last.  Wine choices are fabulous. We ended our evening with chocolate sheet cake and tiramisu - both were outstanding.  There is no other place in Boerne that has this quality of food.  The attention to detail is remarkable. Food here is sooo fresh and exquisitely prepared. The service is no less than stellar. The hubby and I love coming here. Today I just wanted to share a molten lava cake that is not your run of the mill. It was hot, rich, with a very light cake to encase it's richness. The cocoa level is about as high as a nice dark piece of chocolate. Not bittersweet, just enough . A glass of their house cab is a perfect pairing. Looking for a favorite or favorites, and Valeria is a definite one on the list! The appetizer and entrees were delicious, nice and rich in fresh ingredients, and presented in a way you wanted to take time savoring every bite. I have to drive into San Antonio from the west on a regular basis. I always structure my drives in such a way that I can be in Boerne at meal times. Terrific food. I think Yelp's price designation is off--I think it is pricier than 2 dollar signs. I'm also a little perplexed by the reviewers who complained of poor service. It is a small place with only a few wait staff. How could you get bad service? If your idea of good service is a kid who says "my pleasure!" when giving you your food, then maybe this isn't the place for you. Menu choices are a little restrictive and I don't recall ever seeing chicken on the menu but west of San Antonio this is the place to go. More...

I've only been a couple of times (and not recently) but the food has ranged from good to incredible.  Keith raises his own pork and chickens, and these are indeed some of his best ingredients. I'm not all that surprised by the move away from the "farm to table" marketing and toward Italian--in fact, many of the dishes in the original concept were of this bent, so it makes perfect sense, given his background.  I think more people in Boerne will gravitate toward Italian, anyway. The wine list leans heavily toward Italian, and while my taste in Italian wine seems to skew away from what Keith selects, I have been able to find some I like in the past. My only problem with Valeria is that I can't afford to eat there very often. I understand that quality ingredients cost more, but $10 for a small bowl of soup at lunch is pushing it a bit in Boerne!  On the other hand the wine dinners seem to be a great value.  I suspect my wallet is not the type (skinny) that Valeria is probably targeting, based on the vehicles I usually see in the parking lot. It's all good, though.  And I do mean that. I'm planning a return visit to check out the new menu soon!  Hope I can still get the homemade "head cheese".  It is awesome! More...

One word. Sublime! Quiet celebration led me to this co-workers highest recommendation. Location was not impressive, .... Don't be fooled! This place is a gem hidden in an unlikely retail mix. Good news is most others are closed by dinner which leaves the parking available this place needs. (Serendipity? or Design!)Once inside was a nicely appointed casual elegant. Welcoming not airy, staff was polite, seasoned and professional. Zephyr (coolest name ever! "Climbing Rose") was on top of meeting my needs and my small  glass never ran out. Chose 4course meal to make it easy and try more items. Each was a fresh, flavor packed stepping stone to the best pork chop, sauteed veggies with creamy potatoes​ I've ever tasted. Just wish it was larger, almost ate the bone! The family heritage farm pigs must be well fed themselves - delicious. As a seasoned diner I am glad to see they keep the menu simple, fresh and highest quality - in all life's experiences, we see the proof is always in the product - not the package. After recommendations form friends finally decided to try this place out. Its hidden in a strip mall in BoerneNice open decor with very friendly staff. All farm to table dishes. This is a very small, storefront location off Main Street toward the east end of Boerne.  It's a good location for me, because I travel up from Leon Springs.The decor is simple with industrial touches.  A brick oven grabs your attention; don't you want pizza?  Somewhat electronic beat (what I call thumpity-bump) music plays not Too loudly.  I'm relaxed here.I had the pork saltimbocca wrapped in prosciutto with whipped potatoes & zucchini ribbons - happiness on a plate.I like the farm to table concept, and chef-run restaurants are great for people like me who have food sensitivities, so I hope they make it.  Come on out & support them! Esposa and I have attended three wine dinners at Valeria Farm to Table Restaurant.  It's located in a strip mall in Boerne with plenty of parking.  There are 2 or three tables outside and a dozen or so inside this cozy bistro.  The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting.  Staff are personable, attentive, and professional.  Chef Keith worked his way through world of wine to food and has expertise in both areas.  He's a true artist who brings passion to his inventive creations.  Each of the dinners featured wines from a single winery, sources of which have included Italy, France, and California.  The vintner is the guest of honor and explains the wines being served.  The 5-course meals are all inclusive and although a bit pricey well worth it for the experience.  We've not eaten there for a regular menu meal, so please take that into account when reading this review.  Highly recommended.  We'll be returning for many years to come! What a find!  My husband and I had a "staycation" in Boerne over the summer to celebrate our wedding anniversary.  When looking for different restaurants in the area, I stumbled across Valeria and boy I'm glad I did.  From the outside you would never expect what the inside delivers.  It's unassuming exterior and location in a strip center belies the quality of the food that is served behind the doors.  We've now visited on several occasions and it is always excellent.  They have a great wine menu as well.  This has become one of our "go to" restaurants in the area! We just ate here for lunch this past weekend and the food was great and the service was on point.  My 3 year old son had the kid sized cheese pizza my husband and I shared Bluebonnet Farms Bibb Lettuce Salad With pickled Kuhn Farm's Pickled Beets, Taggiasca Olives, sherry vinaigrette and the 8 ounce Augustus Ranch Tenderloin served with Potato Mousseline, Sauteed Mushrooms and Kuhn Farm's Zucchini it was delicious I think it's one of the best steaks we've ever had.  It is just a bit out of the way but if we ever in Boerne again we will definitely stop at Valeria. We heard about Valeria from friends and decided to check it out. It was well worth the drive to Boerne. The food was fresh and well prepared, especially the Shrimp Valeria. Our server was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming. It there was a drawback  it was that the menu is somewhat limited, but that's to be expected, I suppose, at a restaurant where the premise is farm to table. We already have another trip planned. My husband and I were here a few weeks ago. It was very very good. I spoke with the manager and he truly endeavors to provide the freshest ingredients for every meal. As a result, the menu changes as food is available. The item that comes from the furthest location is the Italian cheese. Straight from Italy which is great! I had spaghetti carbonara and it was so lovely. My husband had a big bowl of New Mexican stew and it was a perfect blend of spicy, flavorful ingredients. My wife and I had an excellent dinner last at Valeria. I had the seafood florentine and she had the southwestern soup. The florentine had a really nice balance so that the other favors came through but the cream was always there as a solid base without being too rich. It was nice to meet the chef (Kevin) and we love supporting restaurants who make sustainable choices. I just had lunch there today and it was fantastic! I had the lamb burger which was cooked perfectly. My husband had a margarita pizza and he ate the entire thing; my husband is not a foodie and prefers simple dishes but he sure will tell you if he doesn't enjoy something. He loved every bite. Service was great as well. Anyone concerned about the price, realize that a meal at Wataburger is about $12.00 and that is for fast food garbage. This is THE restaurant to go to in Boerne. Hands down. My husband and I are from Houston and we took a Texas Hill Country road trip to see the blue bonnets. On our loop back towards Houston, we spent the night in Boerne. After a 5+ mile challenging hike at Lost Maples, we drove into Boerne and found Valeria on Yelp. With the awesome reviews, we had to go. Man, are we glad we did!We had a lamb meatball appetizer. It may not sound like much, but a slice of lamb meatball on homemade sourdough bread with a scoop of carmelized onions on top turned out to be extremely flavorful. It also came with mini pickles that were tasty.For entrees, my husband and I split a margherita pizza with fresh buffalo mozzarella on top and a charbroiled cheeseburger with melt-in-your-mouth fries and homemade ketchup. Both were phenomenal. If you like crispy fries though, these are not the fries for you.Amazingly, we still had room for dessert and I'm so glad we did! We got the key lime pie and the strawberry pie. Both are made by the owner's mother. The key lime pie was literally the best key lime pie both my husband and I have ever had. And the exact same thing can be said about the strawberry pie! I had to give 5 stars on the burger alone.  Remember Marshall's quest for the best hamburger in New York on 'How I Met Your Mother?'  I decided to start my own quest in the San Antonio area, but I didn't get far, hell, I only got about 2 miles from my house!  Yes, it's 16$ for the burger and fries, all homemade mind you, including the ketchup*.  Worth...every...penny.  Farm to table means an inconsistent menu.  It changes daily based on what is available.  I have noticed the three times I was there, all within a matter of a month, the menu had indeed changed each time, but the burger was always there.  It's my understanding that you can always get the burger and pizza any day, as well as their tomato basil soup.  The burger changes though.  One day I had some awesome butter lettuce and a thick, homemade potato bun included, another day the lettuce was more of a crunch slaw like lettuce and the potato bun, while still home-made, was somewhat thinner and included poppy seeds.  Both were glorious.  One hint, if you get the burger, make sure you stress to the server how you want it cooked.Service is great, I've only once seen more than one server, it's a small place and not crowded, though the tables are.  It is in a location that is known for restaurants to fail, and I sincerely hope they break that tradition or find a new home.  If you are in a hurry to eat, and they do have lunch specials, let the server know immediately, otherwise your meal could take awhile.Other food I have had is the garlic bread, that actually has sliced garlic on it, my one year old loves it!  The crab crake entrée that I have only seen once on the menu, and the margherita pizza; they were all exceptional.  I did not care for the tomato basil soup which is a customer favorite, but I'm not a fan of soup anyway.  Food great, service very, very nice, but slow.  Environment is mellow and kid friendly.  The server/host I've had each time is so very friendly, and sensitive to needs.  Again, if time is an issue, let him know. *I tried to make ketchup recently, Valeria's is what I hoped mine to be.....instead of a crockpot of vinegar smelling liquid.I also rated 3 dollar signs, but that's because I usually have two glasses of wine :) More...

I was really impressed with the food here. We were hungering for good burgers and we found them. Also, tried some great wines. My only suggestions would be to make the outside as good as the inside. Valeria Farm to Table couldn't be in a less counter-intuitive location--a business section with a couple of restaurants and a bank. Enclose the outside area with some plants and you are set.Also, we got a menu that did not include burgers, but we were so desperate we asked and sure enough, they were available. I think this place could benefit from a comprehensive lunch menu.Pros: Boerne shuts down at the nicer places after 2 p.m. between lunch and dinner and this place is open continuously. If you like good food, go to this place!The food is top-notch, and the wine list is really great. The wines we tried were really interesting. We actually bought a bottle at retail price. This is truly a hidden gem. My only recommendation is to soften the lighting to heighten the ambience of the dining area. And I would suggest opening a location in Stone Oak... Bottom line: This is hands-down an excellent meal and well worth your money.  The food is delicious and sourced for very high quality and fresh ingredients.  The owners even have their own small farm which adds to some of the meats on the menu.We ordered the Tempura vegetables (but I am blanking on the name), which were delicious, light, and a nice mix of vegetables and shrimp.Then we had a Bacon Cheeseburger, Shrimp Lo Mein, and Shrimp Valeria for entrees.  The Bacon Cheeseburger came on a wonderful and fluffy homemade bun, was not greasy at all, and one of the best burgers I have tried in a very long while.  The Shrimp Lo Mein had a delicious smoky flavor with lots of fresh vegetables and shrimp (ask for the sweet chili sauce on the side as a great addition!).  The Shrimp Valeria rightfully carries the restaurant's name and is as beautiful in presentation as it is delicious.For dessert, we tried the Apple Tart, which has all the flavors, flaky crust, and apple appeal of a hearty apple pie - and creamy ice cream as a great sidekick.  We also had the Caramel Creme and loved the texture, caramel, and fresh berries paired with it.  Nobody had much room left from the rest of our meal but the desserts were too good to leave anything on our plates.The owner came and visited with us toward the end of our meal and shared some stories of searching for the freshest ingredients.  He is very nice and loves his customers. I was privileged to drop by last week for lunch. The service was impeccable, water glass was refilled every time it was half filled. The express lunch, which my husband and I had was delicious. The lunch came with a choice if 2 soups, a beautiful salad and an entree. I chose the asparagus soup which was served at the proper temperature, the flavor was not too salty or chicken "brothy". The bread in my sandwich was homemade. I had the chicken salad which was a nice combination of cranberries and chunks of chicken. Dressed properly without too much mayo. I love the idea of eating clean, local, and fresh and I don't mind paying a little extra to give my body (and my family) what I believe we should be eating.  I am happy to support the effort for "farm to table" in little ol' Boerne Texas!  It's refreshing to have a healthy alternative in this town with insanely fresh greens and veggies, doughs from scratch, and organic, free range (mostly local, TX) meats and cheeses.  I actually just made my Yelp account so I could give them the awesome review they deserve.  The staff was super friendly, especially Karen (who is also fabulously entertaining!), professional and courteous.  The pizza is made in front of you and cooked in a wood-fired oven...it's amazing.  I only left off one star because of the Paella, which I tried tonight with my husband.  The price is hefty at $38, so we assumed it would serve two, which it did.  However, I ended up eating my sons pizza instead because it truly lacked luster and from my experience (eating Paella in Spain) was not quite done right...or at least not done according to the traditional method.  I was very sad because I truly was hoping it would be amazing and I would now have a local spot to relish one of my favorite dishes for those special occasions when I must have a taste of Spain.  Way too much liquid in the bottom of the pan, which to me indicated it didn't stew for the correct amount of time.  The flavor also seemed "watered down" rather than rich and slightly spicy as I was expecting.  Other than that, I am a fan of this lovely place!!!! Absolutely awesome restaurant in Boerne. We have eaten both lunch and dinner here and believe it is the best restaurant in the hill country. Ambience is lovely with cloth tablecloths and napkins and fresh flowers on the tables. At lunch we shared a roasted beet salad which was delicious and I don't particularly care for beets! The meats in our entrees of lamb burger and fried chicken sandwich were perfectly cooked and I loved the rosemary on my fries. Nice touch! We had a great meal and evening at Valeria!  The food was extremely fresh and prepared just right.  We did have to add salt to our dishes, but I'd much rather add than it be too salty...and loved the small dish of sea salt provided versus a shaker!  We were surprised there were not more steak options on the menu, but understand that they change the menu daily based on what is in season and what they have on hand.  My husband had the beef tenderloin dish and enjoyed, even the asparagus was cooked perfectly.  I had the Lemon Sole and it was amazing!  The fish was fresh, the crust was crispy and the inside was piping hot and cooked perfectly.  The spicy homemade tarter sauce was a great addition.  It was a pleasure speaking with the Executive Chef and owner who made a point to go by each table and was glad to share his suggestions.  Hopefully as they are open longer (currently 4 1/2 months) the wait staff will become more knowledgeable about the wines, but the owner had great recommendations.   We will definitely be back. Super. Impressed. My man and I walked in 30 minutes to close so we felt a lil guilty being 'that' table. Our game plan was to order our food to go and have a couple apps while we wait. To start we shared a Greek salad with some of the tastiest feta cheese I've ever tried. Nice and gamey like real feta should be! I don't even like olives but the Mediterranean blend on this salad lent just enough flavor. As for the app, we had the crab fritters. Three large fritters with an impressive amount of crab! Topped with a romesco sauce sitting on top of a saffron aioli of sorts. Delicious. To go we ordered the paella. Also, delicious! Nice and hot when we got home with TONS of seafood, all very fresh. We haven't even gotten to dessert yet as I'm still savoring the paella. I'm sure it will not disappoint. We will definitely be returning and recommending this lil gem to friends and family. More...

My wife and I were looking for a healthy lunch and found a great-tasting one, too! We had the Steak Diane and a Salmon dish. Both came with potatoes (mine fried, hers probably as well but seasoned with Rosemary). What impressed me was that the potatoes were fried in olive oil - they spared no expense. We also chose the carrot cake for dessert (we had to reward ourselves for choosing healthy at lunch!) It was fabulous, too! I'm grateful that there is a restaurant out there that allows us to prioritize health in our eating. Typically, in order to eat like this we have to stay home. It is nice to give my wife a break and not sacrifice our bodies for it.  Staff is knowledgeable and hard-working. Worth every penny! Thank you for this treat - please keep up the great work! More...

First time here for Sunday brunch and it was excellent. Had the Migas and now understand what they are really supposed to taste like.   My wife had the eggs benedict and it was great as well.   Food is locally sourced and organic. We tried this place on Saturday night based on a recommendation.We were happily surprised with what we found.  Finally an alternate restaurant to Cypress Grill in Boerne with interesting and well prepared food.  The wine list was decent and the service was good (new server) and I could tell that he had been trained well.The menu had so many interesting things on it, as a table of 4 we ordered 6 things just to try several that sounded great.  All were very good. Seriously, the best restaurant in Boerne. Every night is a new menu of amazing things. I could eat here every night.  The Burrata w/ pesto and warm flat bread is an amazing starter.  The chief will cook the homemade flatbread in front of you in his pizza oven Each night's menu is based in the chief and his family's travels around Europe with a few local favorites thrown in.    The worst part of this whole experience is I have to only pick one of them items on the menu. I am torn between 4 and 5 stars. Finally, Boerne has a restaurant serving real food. Food made from scratch with wholesome non gmo ingredients.First the negatives:1. Waitress, though polite, did not seem educated about the menu. She knew nothing about the wine list. However, this appeared mainly to be a matter of training, not that she is a bad waitress.2. Adults food came out first. This is a pet peeve of mine. Never keep toddlers waiting for food. Never serve them last!3. Kid's spaghetti had whole peppercorns in them. Nope. Most kids won't like that.Positives:1. Real food! Not derivative of something else, but original, fresh, tasty food. Can't say that of any other restaurant in Boerne. Not at all. Miles above any of their competition in town.2. Cod with risotto was amazing. Risotto was just excellent, cod was divine.3. Paella was good, not great because shrimp was slightly overdone, scallops were tiny. However, I'm being picky. Still better than any other paella in town- wait, there is no other paella in town!4. Pizza-excellent. Nothing to add here5. Owners-very nice, came to table to discuss food and concept. Rectified the spaghetti incident.I am betting this review will be read by the owners, and I'm betting next time I come in I will be able to give this five stars. Currently, I'm ranking them not with their competition in town, because they have none. I'm ranking them in comparison with the finest dining I've had in foodie towns. Solid four stars. I hope this review helps lead people to visit this restaurant, because I want it to succeed.By the way, interior was nicely done and comfortable. This place is amazing.  It has just opened. Fine dining finally makes it to Boerne.  I was so happy to see Valeria serve such great quality food for a very reasonable price.  The pizzas are probably the best I've ever had.  The kale and salmon are my favorite.  It's a causal atmosphere, so I can enjoy top notch dishes and bring my kids.  I am definitely coming back. My first trip to Europe in 1998 turned me into a food fanatic and I’ve always wanted to open my own restaurant to be able to serve foods similar to what inspired me on my visits to Europe and in particular Italy.

We are not the cheapest as we really do use first rate ingredients but we do offer value and great taste in our foods. We have a brand new beautiful private event room and look forward to hosting many private events .
