We had two pastries, one with cannoli cream filling and one with another cream filling. Both quite good, only a little sweet. Super generous portions, these things were huge, filled to the max and heavy! I saved half of my eclair to enjoy later. Thanks! More...

Stopped on our way home from NC to Pittsburgh where Tomato Pie cannot be found. This is a taste of home. Everything is authentic and delicious. It's all sold from a cute little food truck off of the main highway in Apex, NC. Love it! More...

Well, it's a long time coming - we needed a good Italian bakery locally! Personally being from upstate NY as well as NJ, I missed going to the Italian bakeries for the holidays as well as when we needed a secret indulgence (better known as a "fix")! Â Thanks, so much for opening up one here! My request is to now open one in Holly Springs so I can avoid the traffic to & from Apex!! Buon appetito!!Mangia!!! Mangia!! More...

This is my favorite dessert place, I literally clap every time I come and go from here... which if I weren't trying to stay in my same pants size would be more often! Utica is an Italian pastry shop with all of the classics (cannoli, baba, wedding cookies, sfagliotelle, etc). In my opinion, Italian pastries are the best. They typically feature lemon, almond and cream and are not overly sweet. My favorite pastry is the lobster tail which you can select to fill with whipped cream, pastry cream or cannoli filling (any are a good choice). The unique texture of the flakey, crispy, chewy pastry is not to be missed! Check them out today! More...

We live in Durham 30 minutes away and this was totally worth the drive. We tried the lobster claw, eclair, cannolis, bread, and pizza dough. Everything was AMAZING!!! They really take pride in their food and the quality and it shows. Next time we go (which will be soon) we are going to try to cookies and cheesecake. Overall, I was extremely impressed and will definitely make this bakery a staple while we live in the area. Highly recommend! More...

Very impressed with the quality and attention to detail. I grew up in Staten Island and Brooklyn NYC, and this type of bakery was a staple in Italian American culture. These dear folks are doing it right with no compromise. I have not had Italian Pastries any better in the Triangle area since moving in early '95. Bravo, excellent work. The lobster tails & Sfogliatelle, my goodness...... More...

Utica has been on my list of places to try for a while so I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to check them out! I had contacted the establishment to place an order the week before pick up and they had a timely response. I ordered a tomato pie and assortment of cookies to take to work. My friends/colleagues from Philly were so happy to find that a place in the RDU area sells tomato pies!!! Everything we tried was delicious! I hope to try more of their other menu items in the future. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. More...

I went this magical fairyland of a food truck. It is located in a corner of a forest. They have baked goods, pastry’s, bread, dough balls, etc. the bread was decent and had tasty herbs on the top. The lobster tail was DELICIOUS and was well worth the cost. You get to have the pastry’s with your choice of filling. They sell dough balls so you may make stuff at home. They rotate the pastry’s / savory choices daily. Very awesome place and have to visit if you can!! More...

I've been wanting to try Utica Bakery for a while now and finally make the trip over last Saturday. The dessert trailer was easy to find and there were plenty of signs clearly marking where to turn if you weren't using your GPS. I'm from New England and am always on the hunt for some good Italian pastries which you can't seem to find much of in NC. Seriously, it is so hard to find a good cannoli! I liked how they displayed all their tasty treats behind glass so you could easily figure out what you wanted to order. My husband and I went for three of their stuffed rolls and a sampling of desserts. The pepperoni roll was my favorite and something I would definitely get again. The sausage and ham rolls were good, but for me pepperoni reigned supreme. On to the sweet treats! They unfortunately left one of my cookies out of the box, but the lemon drop cookie was awesome. Just what you would want in this classic Italian treat. I also thoroughly enjoyed the cannoli. It was definitely the closest to what I'm use to up North that I have been able to find in the South. I have literally been craving a lobster tail for years and their flaky delicious lobster tail layers did not disappoint. They have different fillings you can chose for the lobster tail. I asked what the traditional filling was (since that is what I was craving), turns out it is pastry cream mixed with whipped cream, I went that route! You could also get a chocolate hazelnut filling which also sounded delicious. My husband went with the cheesecake with blueberry compote. The cheesecake was good, but the amount of blueberry compote they include on the side was way too tiny. I know they have a different name for it here, but I wish they sold their part pizza in strips, not just by the half pan. I would have loved to try out a slice for lunch, but didn't need more than that. For those of you not from up North, party pizza is as the name implies a birthday party staple. It's pizza dough with sweetened tomato sauce and that's it. No melted cheese so it's perfect for a party since it doesn't rely on temperature. I look forward to heading out here again when I'm craving some tasty Italian baked goods! More...

Utica Bakery has the most delicious Italian pastries I've ever had. I am fortunate they are so close to me, as I am able to visit them a few times a week when they are open on Friday - Sunday. They always carry their stand-bys: Lobster Tails (which your choice of filling, piped in fresh when you order), Cream Puffs (also filled when you order), cookies, bread, quiche. They also offer new treats here and there - for example a Blueberry Pusty (hand-pie), breads with greens (something popular in Utica). The best part is chatting with Phil and his crew while waiting for your order. They are super nice and genuinely interested in what's going on with you, they feel like family. More...

Wife was looking for a cannoli... she searched it up and we were directed to Utica. Oh my goodness. The cannoli was amazing. .. the moon pie was out of this world and the tiramisu... it was unexpected (amazingly delicious). Only gripe about the tiramisu: it should come with a warning that it is too much for a single adult. I ate the whole thing... no room for dinner now.Looking forward to the next time I pass by Utica, you can bet I will be stopping by. Thanks guys for the excellent pastries! More...

Wonderful pastries. This was our first time here (accidentally saw the sign on Williams/Rt 55 - so glad we did). Got a few pastries and cookies, all were amazing. High calorie, but worth it as a treat. We look forward to trying their bread and pizza. Suggestion: maybe some crunchy biscotti, less sweet than your cookies? As an Italian, we tend to like things a bit less sweet, to go with our strong coffee. More...

I am from Richmond which is known for being a foodie town and picky about giving five star reviews. I can tell you if there was another star to give I would because everything was beyond perfect. To start it was a little hard to find the location but well worth the search. I ordered half moon (black and white) cookies, all three different types of cannolis, and the cheesecake. The cookies had a light and buttery taste with sharp hints of flavors to include vanilla and mint. Each edge of the cookie had a perfect texture and the butter cream frosting made it unique from the typical and it was able to standout compared to the typical New York cookie. The cheesecake had layer after layer of taste the made me feel I was eating a cross between traditional and Italian cheesecake. Finally the cannolis has the perfect snap and flavor balance in every bite. The best thing for me is that nothing felt heavy and I honestly felt like my cheat day wasn't a cheat day. I don't know how he or she did but it's hard to have so much flavor, texture, taste, and desserts that don't make you feel heavy or fat but everything I had was perfect. More...
